Much improved when making all by 11 lengths in similar C&D event 20 days ago, eased clear. Even more to come and can defy a penalty.

Once-raced on the Flat and showed plenty of ability with a hood fitted for hurdling debut at Stratford (4/1) after 10 months off, though raced freely. Should improve if settling down.

Yet to show anything, tried in cheekpieces and tailed off again behind Soldier On Parade on second run over hurdles here 3 weeks ago.

Fair maiden on Flat (raced only at 1m). Will need to step up his form now going jumping but hails from yard going well.

Modest maiden on the Flat (seems to stay 11f). Backed but proved disappointing behind Bannister on his hurdles debut at Stratford last month, no impression from the back straight. More needed.

Well held in minor events on Flat. Can't be fancied on hurdles bow.

No better than a modest maiden on the Flat (stays 1½m) but showed a bit on hurdles debut behind Soldier On Parade here for all he didn't achieve much in the end. Headgear goes on.

To Fly Freet9
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-3| J: Fergus Gillard(7)| T: D Pipe
11/2
Fair Flat performer in France, winning maiden in 2019. Failed to stay on hurdles debut at Cartmel (17.2f) recently, though that was a stiff test for a juvenile and she could do better here.

Forecasts

Soldier On Parade (8/11), Bannister (11/4), To Fly Free (11/2), Kings Creek (9/1), Historic Heart (18/1), Party Potential (28/1), Navajo Eagle (100/1), Dragon Man (250/1)

Verdict

SOLDIER ON PARADE opened his account when making all in taking style here 3 weeks ago and looks good for the follow up under a penalty. Bannister should be the main danger if settling better than he did at Stratford.

  1. SOLDIER ON PARADE
  2. BANNISTER (FR)
  3. TO FLY FREE
