€36,000 yearling; second foal; dam 1m turf/1m½f AW 2yo winner. Trainer currently 5% with his turf 2yos and perhaps this colt will be one to watch on debut.
£35,000 yearling; third foal; half-brother to winners Shining Armour (5f-7f) and Zim Baby (6f, inc. at two); dam 1m2f-1m2¾f winner. Top stable has a 20% strike rate over five seasons with 2yos and he is likely to make an impression on debut.
22-1 on debut at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) last month, when he raced keenly but was always towards the rear and beaten 16L. Hood may help him settle and not written off over this shorter trip if he can improve.
22-1 on his debut over C&D (soft) recently, when he was slowly away and never in contention. That wasn't devoid of promise, and with some improvement for the experience he could take a closer hand.
Not sold at £1,000 as a yearling. Third foal; dam lost action/pulled up on her sole outing, half-sister to two 7f winners and two 1m2f winners. Trainer 10% with his 2yos, but this looks one to be watching on debut for signs of ability.
Was a 50-1 chance on last month's debut at Redcar (6f, good to firm), when he dwelt and was a never dangerous 9L eighth. Needs to make significant improvement on that to get involved.
28-1 on debut at Ayr (6f, good to soft) last month, when he ran green but did well to finish 3¼L second. That looks decent form in context, and if he can improve then he should be capable of having a big say.
£82,000 yearling; £35,000 2yo; second foal; dam 5f-6f winning sister to 5f 2yo Listed winner Parliament Square and half-sister to two other sprint winners. Nice pedigree, but trainer just 5% with 2yos over five years and a little quiet lately.
Second foal; dam maiden 5f-1m4½f and half-sister to 1m-1m1f winner El Buen Turista. Trainer is 1-51 over the oast five seasons with his Flat runners. Hooded first-time out and looks one to watch.
200-1 on debut at Redcar (6f, good to firm) last month, where he was slowly away, never in it and beaten 27L in last of 17. Can only take a watching brief after that.
Has shown promise on both starts so far, going very close on debut at York (5f, good to soft) last month. Not quite as good on fast ground at Doncaster last month, but she looks very much the one to beat back on this slower surface.
Forecasts
Credible (8/11), Kats Bob (7/2), Fairmac (8/1), Italian Breeze (11/1), Grigora (12/1), Pockley (16/1), Hafeet Star (25/1), Captain Vallo (28/1), Havana Party (100/1), Young Alexander (250/1), Segedunum (250/1)
Fairmac is likely to be capable on debut and could have a big say, while Kats Bob could go close. Pockley has an eyecatching pedigree, though his trainer's runners could be in better form and the selection is CREDIBLE, who has the best form on offer and looks to have been found a good opportunity to break her duck.
- Credible
- Fairmac
- Kats Bob
