Has plenty of ability, but can make mistakes and you've got to go back to 2018 to find the last time he got his head in front. Looked held when unseating here last time and although conditions fine, he needs an error-free round to hold best chance.
Already has a chase win under his belt this calendar year, that coming over 3m at Musselburgh in February, gamely holding on. Has had a wind operation and if fit after a break, is of some interest today. Handles good and soft.
Some smart chasers in the family and she has the scope for fences. Only had the three starts for this yard, all over hurdles and ran a good race at Market Rasen latest, only giving way late. Will improve and considered for yard in form.
Hasn't been going anywhere quickly in chases for much of the last 12 months and mark has dropped accordingly. Hard to find many positives against a field of potential improvers and others readily preferred.
Brother to a chase winner so could potentially do better for this switch to fences but in truth will have to, as he's not shown much (bar for one half-decent effort at Wetherby) over hurdles to date.
Ran a bit better than form suggests on first chase start at Carlisle in March, faced a stiff task but only weakened from the last and this opening mark looks fair enough. Only had four starts and open to plenty of improvement; interesting.

An interesting little contest and you can make some sort of case for almost all of them. Grumpy Boots and Western Aussie are totally unexposed and could improve plenty on their chasing handicap debuts tonight, and similar can be said for the scopey SOMETHINBOUTANGELA, who ran well on her first start after an absence when third at Market Rasen last month. With that under her belt, better can be expected here and she can make a wininng chase debut. Dr Hooves has chase experience, which counts for plenty, and he can prove a threat if fit after a break.
