Rounded off last year with a 6f win on the AW and switched yards before resuming with a mid-division effort at Newmarket in June. Held in both starts since and this is no easy task under top weight.
Just 2lb above his last winning mark and holding his form well at present; also suited by the hustle and bustle of a large field. Has been placed over C&D before and, with four places on offer, he could be good value to make the frame once again.
Reappearance/stable debut at Leicester in June was a solid effort but he ran no sort of race at Haydock latest and comes here on a retrieval mission. 0-3 on turf but not fully exposed on the surface so feasible he could find more.
Both previous wins on turf came at Catterick but he ran well to be placed in one of these big-field sprint handicaps last April; had wind surgery prior to his latest start and needs to considerably better that effort to get involved today.
Back to form with a 6f win at Redcar in June but hit with a 10lb rise and never landed a telling blow at Hamilton last time; he's still potentially well handicapped and possible the ground was an excuse latest; worth a betting check.
Less exposed than most and runs for a yard that can get one ready; he rounded off 2019 with a 5f win at Catterick and is likely to be sharper after his recent reappearance. The ground might be a bit faster than he cares for though.
Went close in a Class 5 handicap at Beverley latest and has solid claims if able to dish out a repeat dose in this slightly easier grade; won over C&D last July but is still 6lb higher so needs to be on his 'A-Game'.
Arrives in good form and possible there's a lot more to come given the way she justified strong support in the betting to win a competitive handicap at Catterick last month. More on here from a 7lb higher mark but has scope and merits consideration.
Won over 7f here last month but previously went close over C&D and is currently only 5lb higher in the weights. Should get the strong pace she needs at this trip but needs luck in running given her style of running.
Stable on the cold list with over 70 runners since the last win but that is sure to change before long; this fellow went close to ending the barren spell when second over 6f at Catterick last month but firmer ground isn't ideal here.
Initially improved when fitted with a visor but the effect seems to have worn thin lately; and two most recent starts have been modest efforts. Poor record on turf is also a cause for concern; others more appealing.
Closely matched with Burtonwood on recent Newcastle form and further encouragement taken from his latest near miss when second of 10 at Ayr latest. Yet to win on turf but has the ability to rectify that and is improving over 6f; considered.
Edged out Highland Acclaim to win over 6f (good to soft) at Catterick early last month but the improvement (since being fitted with cheekpieces) proved to be short lived as she was brushed aside latest. Firmer going a worry here.
Plummeted in the ratings after a series of moderate efforts but has been off since March and plenty to prove back on turf. Yard going well and the rider is live to any quirks but more to prove than some of the others and is hard to recommend.
Stablemate of Lady Nectar but far less exposed and has room to move from his current mark (which is 3lb lower than for his handicap debut last December). Gelded since last seen; the betting will have to guide but looks the yard's second string.
Two solid performances this summer put him in the picture and notable that he's not yet fully exposed. The jockey gets on well with him and he currently has a 9% strike-rate with mounts at this course; sound place claims.
Fourth behind Lady Nectar at Catterick last month and well held twice since; he's respected as a seasoned campaigner that is on a handy mark but recent form suggests he's got a bit to find with a few of the rest.
Won for Ed Dunlop when wearing blinkers for the first time when leading home a field of 11 over 6f at Lingfield a year go; but only seen twice since and below par on stable debut last time out. Another with something to prove.
Both previous starts for his current yard have been encouraging and very likely there's more to come from his current mark. His only previous win was gained over 7f (at Haydock) last August; interesting but headgear dispensed with now back at 6f.

LADY NECTAR has been found a decent opportunity to try and follow up last month's Catterick success. She's got 7lb more to shoulder this time but this is heavier on numbers than it is on strong challenges. Moretti is respected but needs luck in running if she's going to come with her customary late rattle home, so it might be down to Redzone and Almurr to give the suggestion the most think about. Jack Randall is lightly weighted and also merits a betting check while Dirchill doesn't have much to find to be there at the business end. Burtonwood is a further contender for consideration.
- Lady Nectar
- Redzone
- Almurr
