Started his career in fine style (won first seven starts) in bumpers/novice hurdles (has already had two wind ops). Blips after that winning sequence, back on track on chasing debut at Stratford (17f), jumped well, sure to close again here.
Useful sort over hurdles (completed a five-timer in 2018), yet to quite get his act together over fences in two attempts (behind Longhouse Sale on debut). Jumped with more élan/fluency last time, may do better when in time but still learning.
Started his hurdling career in fine style (won first five), after being a useful sort on the Flat (won off a mark of 95). Turned in a lacklustre display when last seen over hurdles (Huntingdon Listed contest, 19.6f), now makes his chasing debut.
Lightly-raced since winning a Newton Abbot bumper (2016), had two wind surgeries in the interim. Won a low-grade handicap hurdle (18.5f) off a basement mark last May, badly failed to repeat that performance when last seen, tough task on chase debut.
Dual bumper/novice hurdle winner before being highly-tried earlier in the year in a brace of Grade 2 hurdles, the latter the mares' contest at Cheltenham. Not disgraced in either, she could make up into a useful chaser with some experience.
Forecasts
Longhouse Sale (13/8), Timetochill (5/2), Pacify (3/1), Leapaway (5/1), Stand By Me (150/1)
a realistic chance of landing this. It’s probably safest to stay with the experience of LONGHOUSE SALE who sets a fair standard on his chasing debut at Stratford where he jumped well and that form has already been franked by the win of the third subsequently. Leapaway behind the selection on that occasion has had some more chasing practice since and appears to be getting the hang of things but he’ll do well to reverse the previous form Paciffy certainly has the hurdling form to make his presence felt if he takes to fences with Timtochill also in the mix, she has point-to-point experience.
- Longhouse Sale
- Pacify
- Leapaway
