Court Cave gelding out of a Vertical Speed mare. Closely related to Gold Speed, bumper winner also successful over hurdles at 2m. Likely to improve on debut run at Downpatrick last month, fourth of 10 runners.
Gelding by Frozen Fire out of a Carnival Dancer mare. Failed to register a completion in a couple of point-to-point starts in January/October last year. Best watched on debut.

Gelding by Jeremy. Cost €36,000 as a yearling; stoutly-bred gelding related to plenty of hurdles winners. Pleasing debut at Fairyhouse when last seen in January. Likely to go close.
Gelding by Le Carde Noir a half-brother to 1m1f-2m winner Life Less Ordinary. Beaten over 20L on both career starts in bumpers at Punchestown and more recently at Tipperary in June.

Fairly Ransom gelding out of Irish bred mare: one paced from a long way out on debut at Limerick in December before a 49L defeat, last of five at Navan when last seen in January.
Gelding by Elusive Pimpernel. Cost €23,000 as a three-year-old. Fair showing on debut at Limerick in June before a decent effort at Gowran Park over 2m last month. Capable of further improvement.
Cape Cross gelding out of a Manduro mare. Closely related to Yellow Flag, decent hurdler/chaser. Likely to need the first run on debut.

Gelding by Spider Flight. Well held, never nearer in a couple of maiden hurdle starts at this venue and Cork last month. Worth a check in the market on bumper debut.
14 months separated wide-margin defeats in bumpers at Limerick and this venue 12 months ago. Beaten 60L on comeback run at Ballinrobe last month.
Daughter of Rocamadour out of a Medicean mare. Encouraging third of 13 on debut at Tramore last month but manner and distance beaten tempers any enthusiasm.
€4,000 three-year-old, Fame And Glory filly is a half-sister to fairly useful hurdler Ferrobin. Pulled-up over hurdles at Cork last month. Unlikely to be troubling the judge in this company.
Alhebayeb filly out of a Orpen mare. Closely related to a number of winners including Chelsea Lad, successful over 7f/1m. Worth a check in the market on debut for smart yard.

Forecasts

I A Connect (4/7), Staging Post (9/2), Somme Soldier (5/1), Zaccarela (16/1), Elusive Specimen (18/1), Thirtyfourstitches (22/1), I Don't Get It (25/1), Shoe String (28/1), Senorita Madore (33/1), Favours Pay (40/1), Frozen Captive (80/1), Painted On The Sky (100/1), Rathnaleen Glory (100/1)

Verdict

I A CONNECT can land the closing contest for trainer/jockey combination of Gordon Elliott and Jamie Codd. The five-year-old produced a pleasing debut at Fairyhouse when last seen in January and can see off the attentions of Zaccarela for trainer Philip Fenton and potential improver Elusive Specimen.
