Chasing maiden (0-4) albeit a useful one (already had two wind ops), in danger of becoming disappointing. May have needed the run behind subsequent winner Soldier Of Love last time at Bangor (3m), sliding in the weights, found soft opportunity.
Some fair efforts (usually from the front) when with Neil King, also has off days, generally inconsistent. Sold £5,500 to this yard to go pointing (0-3 of late), now returns under Rules for same stable, slipped in weights, above last winning mark.
Refitted blinkers (retained) appeared to rejuvenate him over hurdles here last time (25.4f) going down narrowly. Form over fences since his last win has been rather erratic (capable on his day), should be competitive off this mark back over fences.
Won a maiden hunters' chase (21.2f, soft) here last May by 12L, only seen twice since, mostly recently in March off nine month break (pulled up). Should stay this far but lacks race fitness of a couple of these, likely to be found wanting.
Won sole start in Irish point-to-points, modest form so far over obstacles (has had win surgery). Ran creditably without any excuses when last seen finishing third over fences at Newcastle (23.4f, soft), could well need the outing, 0-11 under Rules.
Forecasts
Stop The World (7/4), Rising Marienbard (5/2), Achill Road Boy (7/2), Dee Star (5/1), Little Windmill (22/1)
A modest handicap chase which see Stop The World presented with his easiest chance yet over fences having looked to need the run at Bangor last time. His chasing form is rather a mixed bag though and ACHILL ROAD BOY is narrowly preferred. He appeared to enjoy himself around here last time travelling better than usual (often losing his pitch mid-race) in refitted blinkers over hurdles. A repeat of that run would see him record his first win over fences since January 2019. Little Windmill is the likely pace setter but his form is rather erratic (showed little in points for this yard) while Dee Star and Rising Marienbard could both be struggling for race fitness.
- Achill Road Boy
- Stop The World
- Dee Star
