Yet to win in six starts over fences but in truth unlucky not to have at least one on the board, and again only denied a neck by the improving Soldier Of Love at Bangor latest. Up 4lb for that but conditions fine and every chance of scoring.

Scrambled home at Kempton to win by the minimum margin last October and is back on the same mark here. Not the most consistent around but may come on for a run at Market Rasen last month, and can't be totally discounted.

Came back from a long absence to run second over C&D to the improving Bbold last time out, sticking well to the task and belaying any stamina fears. Meets a couple of potential improvers again but he's in good form, and should have his chance.

Likes to get on with it early, and looks the potential pacesetter here. Not always foot perfect but he's hard to catch on a going day, and it was a better effort when a close fourth at Newton Abbot last time. Can't be allowed too much rope.

Wasn't going anywhere at halfway but stayed on well to be fifth at Newton Abbot last time (closely matched with Gentleman Moore on that form). Another 350 yards here can only help his cause, and he can't be ruled out either.

Verdict

A tricky little contest. Gentleman Moore should ensure there's no hanging about and it should be run at a solid pace. Oscar Rose ran really well on her chase debut here and a repeat fo that surely takes her close, but she doesn't always put races to bed when she should, and MONTY'S AWARD might be the one to take advantage. He too has found winning a chase difficult but you can't fault his attitude, and despite the welter burden, can get his head in front. Dream Bolt is no spring chicken but is still capable of the odd good run, as he showed here on his reappearance, and may be best of the rest.
