Put some in consistent chase form behind him when finishing runner-up at Roscommon last month on the back of some uninspiring runs over hurdles and on the Flat; tends to need a lot of luck in running but fair chance now confidence is up.
Winner over fences of a Fairyhouse handicap over this trip in October; sent back over hurdles after falling in chase at Thurles later that month; two poor recent efforts over fences and possibly in need of relief from the handicapper.
Various headgear additions have seen an improved mare on her last two starts at Tipperary and Tramore; going in the right direction and certainly one to consider.
Mixing chasing with hurdling without much success in a number of starts last season and reappearance run at Tipperary in July did not hint at being competitive any time soon.
10-race maiden, beaten wide margins all starts so far under rules and trend likely to continue on fourth start over fences.
Beaten over 100 lengths only on chase finish from four starts; difficult to see where the improvement will come from.

Forecasts
Alice Johnston (11/10), Bective Cave (9/4), Roachdale House (5/2), Captain Cobajay (6/1), Arch Melody (13/2), Fairymount Boy (7/1), Presenting Hunzy (14/1), The Broom Squire (25/1), Jack Holiday (25/1)
Since the fitting of a hood and a tongue-tie ALICE JOHNSON has produced some tidy displays in defeat at Tipperary and Tramore. If continuing on her upward progress then she looks to have a decent chance of a breakthrough success at the seventh time of asking. Bective Cave is a much better hurdler but has ability over fences and can race off a much more favourable mark. He ran a fair race last time at Tramore (though beaten at odds-on). There is a race to be won with him. Roachdale House has been showing a nice consistency over fences of late and given some luck in running, he should go well.
- Alice Johnston
- Bective Cave
- Roachdale House
