Ran out a ready winner of a similar event at Stratford last time out, for which he's gone up 7lb. Form of that solid enough, and still gets to race in same grade today, so a repeat has to take him close in a modest event.
Used to finish weakly in his races but did manage to rattle off a four-timer last year before the handicapper finally got a hold of him. Will come on for a run last month and takes a drop in grade, so a bit to like his chance, with conditions fine.
Travelled well to two out at Stratford (behind Peterborough) last month but never at the races when well beaten at Bangor last week. Quickish turnaround suggests all is well and he might fare better dropped back in trip here.
Hasn't the talent of his brother, the late Hammersley Lake, and despite attracting plenty of support at Southwell on his return, soon gave up the ghost when challenged. Reappearance of tongue strap needs to make a difference.
Back on her last winning mark and shaped well, to a point, when fourth at Bangor on her reappearance last month. A bare 2m seems to suit her, and yard still going well, so she looks one of the more likely ones here.
Still a maiden after 32 starts rather tells you what you're dealing with here, and despite the odd reasonable effort over hurdles last year, isn't hard to oppose today.
Just one win in 33 starts and at the age of 10, this will only be his third chase start. Wasn't an awful effort over hurdles on reappearance, finishing third, but overall strike rate sugggests he's an unlikely winner from 4lb out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Peterborough (7/4), Kiruna Peak (3/1), Hold Me Tight (6/1), Kapsize (8/1), Chance It (10/1), No No Cardinal (12/1), Cillian's Well (14/1)
A race that depends whether PETERBOROUGH can repeat his Stratford win last time out from a 7lb higher mark, as a repeat may simply be enough to take care of a modest lot. In the hope he can, he's given the vote. Kiruna Peak shaped well enough at Bangor last month to think there's a race in her soon, and conditions here look ideal, so she is the danger. No No Cardinal is slipping back to a workable mark and might have a chance late on, and Cillian's Well might also have a race left in him if it all drops right.
