Shaper for his debut run, he proved a much more rounded proposition when beating three rivals at York (5f, good) last time. Yard not known for 2yo winners, good record with sprinters though, type to progress again, mark looks workable.

C&D winner on her debut (started favourite), since cemented the good start to her career with a Catterick 6f win against her own sex. Found the drop to 5f in a strongly-run good class affair a shock last time, should be more suited by this test.

Gradual improver who scored at the third time of asking over this trip at Catterick last time, looked a more professional sort than the opposition. Only beat a fairly ordinary bunch though, this handicap debut looks a more difficult proposition.

Like the rest of the field making his handicap debut, modest form so far (bred to be better than he's shown), having been tried over 6f on debut. Looked happier over C&D last time (in a weak novice), will be better suited by this sort of scenario.

Forecasts

Brazen Belle (11/10), J R Cavagin (9/4), Roydmoor (9/2), Mokaman (15/2)

Verdict

All four runners make their handicap debuts and have some sort of claim in a wide-open event. C&D winner BRAZEN BELLE may find that course form standing her in good stead and she’ll find this a lot easier than the Newbury Super Sprint she contested last time (ran well enough despite being poorly positioned). Roydmor ought to do better given his pedigree (has some speedy relations) and this sphere may give him the chance to show his truth worth after gaining some further experience over C&D last time. J R Cavagin has to give weight away to the other three and he might be anchored by a big weight whilst Mokaman needs to improve again on what he’s shown so far despite winning last time.
  1. Brazen Belle
  2. Roydmoor
  3. J R Cavagin
