Twice-raced and is smartly-bred. Ran to similar encouraging levels in both starts at Newbury (1m and 1m2f) and step-up to this trip should bring out more in her. On the shortlist.

Third foal by Australia. Half-sister to German Listed-placed 1m1f winner Secret Potion. Dam was a 1m3f winner in France and sister to multiple European Group 1 winners. Taking pedigree but needs to be bang on for debut effort.

Very expensive purchase who is bred to be talented (full sister to Oaks winner Forever Together). Not entirely disgraced in third-place finishes in two starts to date, including Listed race last time, and has good opportunity to get off the mark.

Offers the most experience in the race. Fourth in Listed Oaks trial on return and only narrowly denied in 1m2f Newbury novice last time (beating Coconut in the process). Leading claims to go on once more.

Shaped poorly in both starts to date, culminating time with David Lanigan with poor ninth in 1m4f Kempton maiden in February. Very tough ask against progressive rivals.

Forecasts

La Dragontea (1/1), Coconut (7/2), Do You Love Me (4/1), Dhabyah (5/1), Silver Desert (80/1)

Verdict

It would be no shock if this was to throw up a smart filly for the future, and one who can get belatedly off the mark is LA DRAGONTEA. She already has black-type placing to her name and the run at Newbury last time sets the standard. Given her experience, she may be hard to beat. Coconut wasn't that far behind her that day but will need to find a bit in the ratings to reverse that form. Do You Love Me has been disappointing and while she was beaten 14L in a Listed race at Newmarket last time, the second has gone on to win the Group 2 Dante Stakes since, so that form is very strong.
  1. La Dragontea
  2. Coconut
  3. Do You Love Me
