Havana Gold homebred. Third foal. Half-brother to Listed winner and Group-placed Iconic Choice (1m). Dam was a winner over 1m and related to a US Stakes winner. Second string on jockey bookings.
Promising second on debut at Wolverhampton (6f) in June but not as good in two starts since. Latest 13L defeat at Windsor (6f) has led to him being subsequently gelded.
220,000 gns yearling. Closely related to 1m winner Festive Spirit. Half-brother to winners Boost (7f) and out of juvenile Group 1-winning dam. Taking pedigree and one to note on debut.
Gelded son of Al Kazeem. Not disgraced on debut but not reallt in contention when 4L fourth at Doncaster (6f) in June. Sizeable step up likely needed in this.
Gleneagles colt. Closely related to AW winner New Angel (1m) and dam was a US Grade 3 turf winner related to the classy Order Of St George. Represents top yard, but juveniles have been quiet this term.
70,000 gns yearling. Full brother to 7f winner Cedar Cage and closely related to 1m2f Listed winner Don't Be. Dam was placed in black type races so does have a taking pedigree. Not without hope.
Far from disgraced when fourth on debut at Doncaster, but was cost by slow start and tough race with 7l defeat at Newbury (7f) last time. Needs more in this.
Bred to be a smart sort and showed very good signs of promise when 3L second in C&D novice on debut last month. Every chance he goes forward again. Leading claims.
€52,000 yearling. Dam was a french 1m2f winner, half-sister to a couple of Group 2 winners. Stable's first string on jockey booking so notable if there is market support.

Forecasts
Rival (11/10), Highland Avenue (10/3), Diamondonthehill (5/1), Rhoscolyn (7/1), Eagle Terrace (15/2), Broomy Law (17/2), The Nu Form Way (16/1), Astronomic Choice (20/1), Bodak Yellow (20/1), Jack Bean (100/1)
Some smart pedigrees are brought into this contest by debutantes, but one with experience in RIVAL is the preference to go one better on his second start. He showed plenty of ability when behind a smart winner over C&D last time and with no opponent of that calibre in this, he should be hard to beat. Both Broomy Law and Eagle Terrace are bred to be smart types in the future and should improve no end on what they achieve in this, while The Nu Form Way has a very taking, unexposed French pedigree and may just prove to be a shrewd purchase.
