Would need to show a bit more than she did on debut when fourth of seven (beaten around five-length) to an odds-on shot at Redcar (7f; good). Yard had a winner on Thursday which ended losing run but still not firing on all cylinders.
Step up to 7f should suit better judged on her debut effort when staying on all the time to be beaten a head at Ripon (6f; good). The winner had the benefit of experience on her side. Should go close.
Looks to be the outsider of the five given the fact she has failed to show a great deal on either career start so far. May have not appreciated the quick turnaround when only beating one home last time, but that is her sole hope.
€20,000 yearling. Sole newcomer in the field. By Mastercraftsman and a half-sister to 6f-1m winner Felix Leiter. Betting likely to be informative with this one on debut.
Went close to making a winning debut when beaten a nose at Sandown (7f; good). That form is yet to be tested and the form of the yard is a slight concern. However, the stable do have an eye-catching strike-rate at this track.
Forecasts
Gift List (6/5), Professional Widow (6/4), Beechwood Emily (9/1), My Little Queens (10/1), Fields Of Berries (40/1)
In a race lacking strength in depth, ready preference is for PROFESSIONAL WIDOW who represents a yard with a 29% strike-rate (6-21) at this track over the last five years. The selection was narrowly denied in what looked a stronger contest than this on debut and can now go one better. The main danger looks to be Gift List who should improve for the step up to 7f after showing evident promise on debut when not given an overly hard time of things and she was only just beaten herself. Of the remainder, a market check is advised with My Little Queens who may well be capable of running into a place on racecourse debut.
