Horse A-Z
1
Horse silk
100/1
Mixed bag in point-to-points but never really involved when ninth of 12 on rules bow in a 2m4f Gowran bumper. Best watched here.
2
Horse silk
Cregane Ned9
Age: 6|  Weight: 12-0| J: A McCurtin| T: P O'Flynn
150/1
Achieved next to nothing in three points and tailed off here on a maiden hurdle despite bits of support last month. Others preferred.
3
Horse silk
125/1
Former pointer beaten out of sight in rules bow at Gowran in March so can only be watched here.
4
Horse silk
Diamond Kuth32
Age: 7|  Weight: 12-0| J: H Morgan(4)| T: J Nash| OR:  105
6/1
Maiden winner on the Flat back in 2017 but raced just three times since. Last of six at Tipperary latest and again others make greater appeal.
5
Horse silk
Fest Deiz10
Age: 5|  Weight: 12-0| J: Sean O'Keeffe| T: K Purcell
4/6
Bumper winner who may have needed the outing when only fourth at Bellewstown (2m; good to yielding) on his first run after more than a year off the track. Switch to hurdles latest saw him second over 2m4f at Limerick; leading claims now.
6
Horse silk
Gallowglass13
Age: 7|  Weight: 12-0| J: A W Short| T: S Ryan
15/2
Although only sixth in his two previous maidens both were won by well above average types and therefore he comes here with an each-way squeak with few of that ilk here.
7
Horse silk
Minella Away13
Age: 5|  Weight: 12-0| J: C D Timmons| T: J Nallen
50/1
Fairly modest stuff in four-race point-to-point career; tailed off 50-1 chance on hurdles bow at Kilbeggan and little better when 80-1 latest at Gowran.
8
Horse silk
25/1
Kayf Tara newcomer a brother to 2m5f-3m1f hurdle/useful chase winner Bells Of Ailsworth out of a dam successful on the Flat and over hurdles. Market can guide.
£100,000 purchase out of a point-to-point second on debut at Carlisle in March 2018 but below that level at Navan latest after two years off. Another absence since and plenty of questions now.
10
Horse silk
250/1
Nothing to recommend him in two starts thus far and others readily preferred here.
11
Horse silk
66/1
Winner of a May point-to-point but has been left wanting in a trio of hunter chase starts since. Hard to recommend on overall evidence.
12
Horse silk
Gloryt19
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-9| J: Ricky Doyle| T: T G McCourt
11/2
58-rated Flat performer ran well here when second over 2m on hurdles bow despite an error at the last. Longer trip a slight quandary but certainly rates a leading contender.
13
Horse silk
Lucky Number13
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-9| J: B Browne| T: O McKiernan
16/1
Useful on the level (rated 73) but could only finish fifth of 15 in a Gowran 2m maiden hurdle latest. May progress for that but stamina in question over this trip.
14
Horse silk
200/1
By Leading Light out of a Milan mare. Only beat one home here on debut last month when a very remote 10th and can't be fancied after that.
15
Horse silk
So Kind9
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-9| J: O R Brown(4)| T: P J Flynn
125/1
11th of 15 over C&D on debut in a similar race beaten over 50L so again best watched today.
16
Horse silk
80/1
Showed a modicum of ability without seriously threatening in two bumpers. Not the strongest race so outside chance of a place.

Forecasts

Fest Deiz (4/6), Glory (11/2), Diamond Kut (6/1), Gallowglass (15/2), Minella Mystics (14/1), Lucky Number (16/1), Minella Moment (25/1), Minella Away (50/1), Master Artist (50/1), Top Question (66/1), Sumtinboutporter (80/1), Champions Hill (100/1), So Kind (125/1), Daicheadacuig (125/1), Cregane Ned (150/1), Pon Me Soul (200/1), Thunder Mike (250/1)

Verdict

Recent Limerick second FAST DEIZ looks the one to side with here after that most pleasing of runs although course second Glory is an obvious threat. There is little strength in depth here so perhaps Gallowglass can make the frame for the first time too.
  1. Fest Deiz
  2. Glory
  3. Gallowglass
