Winner of this last year, one of four 2019 wins (three at Group 2 level) with Manuela De Vega 5L behind. Took on the boys last time at Newmarket in a 12f Group 2 (trip on the short side) acquitted herself well (best work late on), spot on now.

Created a good impression when winning her sole 2yo start (1m, heavy) before making some steady progress this year. Showed her best form to win a 12f Listed race at Newbury last time (came from poor position), work to do with Manuela De Vega.

Promise shown as a 2yo has come to fruition over longer trips as a 3yo; won a maiden/Cork Group 3 (12f, good). Given a stiff baptism in Group 1 (Irish Oaks) company last time, (13-2), made running, not disgraced in finishing fifth, first try at 14f.

Verdict

John Gosden bids to maintain his good record in this (won two of the last four renewals) with ENBIHAAR proving 5L too good for Manuela De Vega last year with the weights favouring her more this year as her main rival has lost her 3yo weight-for-age allowance. Her fourth in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes should have put her right for this and she will enjoy a return to this trip. Of the two 3yo’s Manuela De Vega has already put Cabaletta in her place at Haydock although conditions will be rather different here and Snow looks the better of the two fillies from the Classic generation, not been disgraced in the Irish Oaks last time, she’s a sister to high-class stayer Kew Gardens.
