Running respectably in defeat of late, and posted another good effort when not beaten far into third by the talented Mt Leinster in a maiden at this track on Monday. Quite a versatile sort and likely to be involved despite top-weight.
Could have ran better when eighth on first hurdles start in over a year after he made a pleasing return to action on the level when third at Fairyhouse (1m4f; good to firm) last month. Something to prove now.
In good form on the flat last month, but posted disappointing effort when down the field over 2m5f at this track on Wednesday. Has won over C&D before but still 8lb above that mark so isn't the easiest to fancy at the moment.
In good form around this time last year, but form has subsequently tailed off both on the level and over hurdles. Break may have helped freshen him up, but he has too much to prove to recommend after 187-day break.
Yet to fully progress from promising hurdles debut in March, and didn't run as well as the finishing position would suggest when fourth at Kilbeggan (2m; good to yielding) last time. Still has time on his side though.
Race he won over hurdles on his penultimate start was a weak one and that showed when he was outclassed at Listowel (2m; good) when a distant fourth. Makes handicap/seasonal debut and this lightly raced sort is worth a market check.
Off the mark at the third time of asking when justifying short-odds (4/5f) at Bellewstown (2m; good) with the minimum of fuss. Now enters handicap sphere and has a likeable profile so should be competitive off this mark.
Went backwards after finishing second on hurdles debut at this track last September (sent off 4/9f). Now makes handicap debut on return from a 212-day break, and a surprise if leading yard were not capable of finding the key to him.
Getting better with experience over hurdles. Didn't run badly for a 66-1 shot when sixth at Roscommon (2m; good) last month. Open to improvement now handicapping & appeals more than most after just four hurdle starts. Market check advised.
Yet to win in eight handicap starts and hard to enthuse over comeback effort when comfortably beaten at Bellewstown (2m; good) 27 days ago. This is more competitive so he is ruled out with the stable without a winner for 130 days.
Doesn't look very well handicapped (11lb above last winning mark) but was competitive in defeat off this sort of mark last summer so could run into a place. Looks vulnerable for win purposes though.
Forming a row of duck eggs beside his name after a string of below-par efforts. Now rates as a big outsider in this field, and can't be recommended at all with others showing much more convincing recent form.
0-7 over hurdles and needs to bounce back from below-par effort at Wexford (2m; heavy) in March. Two runs before that were his first in handicaps and they did offer some encouragement. Stiff task on first run for four months.
Stepped up markedly on previous hurdle efforts when third on handicap debut at Bellewstown (2m; good). A bold bid was evidently expected (9/4f). This demands more but he is unexposed off the same mark and could run into a place.

Forecasts
Ego Des Mottes (10/3), Eagle Moon (7/2), Born By The Sea (4/1), Millyinthemiddle (9/2), Loudest Whisper (6/1), Enzani (7/1), De Mazzaro (8/1), Ruinous (10/1), Acclamatio (12/1), Schedar (20/1), Silver Star (22/1), Streets Of Doyen (22/1), Trans Wood (28/1), Don Patricio (33/1), Castlehume (33/1), Room To Roam (50/1), Stander (50/1), Shabra's Bertolini (50/1), Highway Royal (66/1)
Although this is a fair step up from the race she finished third in on her handicap bow, Loudest Whisper has a featherweight on her back & is open to further progress. Enzani is respected along with Acclamatio, Born By The Sea and Streets Of Doyen. The most interesting contender is probably Ego Des Mottes who is yet to win four starts for his powerhouse connections but is worth noting in the betting after he has been freshened up for this handicap bow. In an open race though, the selection is EAGLE MOON who is also making his handicap debut and looked a horse to follow in this sphere when breaking his duck at Bellewstown in easy fashion.
- Eagle Moon
- Ego Des Mottes
- Born By The Sea
