Had been heading in the right direction prior to completing a simple task last time over hurdles at Musselburgh (beat two rivals in novice company over this trip). Penalised for that win he'll need to show more, true measure will come in handicaps.

Bumper winner who shaped well enough on handicap hurdle debut here over 2m when with Hughie Morrison. Bumper winner he's still unexposed (returns from significant break), back into novice company, tongue-tie on to make stable debut.

66-1, pulled up having shown nothing in a novice hurdle at Hexham last September. Gelded prior to his debut it would be hard to make any sort of case for his chance on this evidence.
Fairly useful on the Flat, stays 2m for Ian Williams he ran no sort of race on his stable debut finishing last on the AW over 1m4f. No form as yet over hurdles, half-brother to fair hurdler The Way You Dance (was with this yard). Worth noting.

Back with his original yard having been well beaten in his only start for them in a Warwick bumper (April 2018), showed some ability. Point-to-point winner since by 30L on debut, fell latest start in that sphere, stable in a lull at the moment.
Showed just modest form in France in his one completed hurdle (fell in other) but there was no promise in his GB/stable debut here over 2m. Always behind he finished tailed off, hard to see him getting involved.

Point-to point winner by 5L (only start in that sphere), well below-par on hurdling debut, eventually pulled up at Exeter (3m, soft). Subsequent break plus a wind op/first-time hood allowed him to show more last time (error halted his progress).

Surprisingly started 12-1 for her bumper debut given pedigree/fact she had placed in points scoring readily at Fontwell last June in a fairly thin bumper. Failed to live up to that billing in another bumper/hurdles debut, best observed for now.

Hinted at ability on bumper debut at Stratford although he's bred more for stamina than speed. Looked to need the outing on hurdles debut recently, well held, should know more this time but hardly one of the leading candidates.

Forecasts

Apres Le Deluge (11/8), Ask Henry (2/1), I'm Here (4/1), Gospelus (6/1), Darksideoftarnside (33/1), Myspacenotyours (33/1), Equus Leader (50/1), Corrie Lake (66/1), Flash Moriviere (300/1), Connerys Hill (500/1)

Verdict

A distinct lack of strength in depth and it should give ASK HENRY a chance to build on his Musselburgh wide-margin win in February when beating two rivals. He remains with lots of potential and already sports a mark of 120. Apres Le Deluge and Gospelus are both with new yards the former looking in particularly good hands in a first-time tongue-tie having finished second over shorter in a handicap when last seen. The latter of that duo has yet to jump a hurdle but has plenty of useful jumping relations in his pedigree and should go well on his GB debut.
  1. Ask Henry
  2. Apres Le Deluge
  3. Gospelus
