Veteran campaigner that could do with a clear round, having not completed last three, but ran a good race until falling in the Summer Plate last time. This is easier, and she's on a great mark back over hurdles, chances if confidence not dented.
Highly tried a few times in his career, but very capable performer at this level and looks on a fair mark on debut for new yard today. Conditions fine and if fit after absence, looks one with a big chance.
Falling back to a fair mark and shaped nicely on reappearance at Uttoxeter, staying on late in the day and this step back up in trip sure to suit. Should hold a solid chance, with likely conditions ideal.
Won a maiden hurdle at Musselburgh last year but it was quite weak, and the 11lb rise for it was more than enough to stop him on handicap debut. Open to some improvement but in truth, may need it off this mark.
Thrown in on form he was showing early on in his career but has been disappointing for some time now. Is at least on a more realistic mark these days but there are simply too many question marks against him at present.
Steady improvement throughout last year, culminating in a good second to a useful looking one at Wincanton, well clear of the rest. Opening mark no gimme but open to plenty of improvement now upped in trip on handicap debut.
Last win came at the cramped odds of 2-11 in a match at Sedgefield but hasn't really progressed, and was readily seen off on reappearance at Uttoxeter. Now tries a step up in trip but others look more progressive.
Has run two solid races this month, and wasn't beaten far from out of the handicap at Southwell latest. Effectively 7lb lower here in a lesser race, stays well and with fitness assured, has a solid chance.
Second start for this yard, perfectly acceptable reappearance run on the Flat at Ayr and is capable at this level, but hard to catch right and cheekpieces, that are normally on, are missing here. Trip no issue, but others preferred.
Forecasts
Ahead of The Curve (5/2), Black Buble (7/2), Bannixtown Glory (4/1), Cage Of Fear (11/2), Samson's Reach (10/1), Hattaab (11/1), Order Of Thistle (16/1), Prabeni (20/1), Field Exhibition (40/1)
HATTAAB comes into this off the back of two good runs this season and given this looks an easier contest than the one he raced in at Southwell last time, it represents a good chance for him to get on the scoresheet. Cage Of Fear hails from a yard among the winners and can prove the danger stepping up in trip. Ahead Of The Curve has his conditions and could go close on first start for new yard. Black Buble is more exposed than a few but holds chances off this mark.
- Hattaab
- Cage Of Fear
- Black Buble
