C&D scorer two years ago off a mark of 103 but has been struggling over all since then. Signs of something of revival when beaten a length in third at Bath last time though and should be competitive at a track that suits.
Good strike-rate for a sprinter winning 7-17 on AW but showed little in four starts on turf in early days. Has improved a lot since then though and not out of this if able to adapt to the surface. Big 'if' though.
In good form last year winning four time including over C&D last August off 74. Well served by some give underfoot so forecast conditions may be a little quick for him. Any rain would enhance his chance on second start back.
Kempton 7f novice auction winner on second appearance in April last year. Two starts in 7f Kempton handicaps since returning this summer and drops back 1f now reverting to turf. Yard in fair form at rpesent.
Bated Beath filly won only juvenile start at Chelmsford last November then followed up only subsequent run when winning Kempton 6f novice last month. Making turf and handicap bow but hails from very good yard and has to have every chance.
AW 6f and 7f winner last summer before 6-length fourth in Group 3 Solario Stakes (7f) at Sandown. Seems to have rather lost his way since then but is coming back down to a feasible mark and may be helped by return to sprinting.
February 2020 Wolverhampton 6f maiden winner and hasn't had much luck in two starts since racing returned, stumbling at start at Lingfield then losing a shoe last time at HQ. 3lb lower now and champion jockey booked so worth a second glance.
Three wins so far but all a 5f. Hasn't shone in five previous attempts at this trip and despite getting weight from most of his rivals looks to face a tough task here.

Forecasts
Its A Given (1/1), May Sonic (4/1), Mount Mogan (9/2), Ice Age (5/1), Breath Of Joy (5/1), Music Therapist (10/1), Hector Loza (20/1), Eye Of The Water (33/1), Fantastic Flyer (40/1), Heer We Go Again (50/1)
It could be significant that connections choose to take on older horses on handicpa bow with the unbeaten IT'S A GIVEN. She created a good impression with wins at Chelmsford and Kempton and will make a bold bid to maintain her 100% record. Mount Mogan could be the main danger to the selection having not had much luck in his two runs so far but shown enough to suggest the ability is still there. If you excuse an unusually poor effort last time at Pontefract, Music Therapist comes into the reckoning on his C&D second the time before, while Breath Of Joy, May Sonic and old Ice Age all have a squeak if things drop their way.
- Its A Given
- Mount Mogan
- Ice Age
