Tongue-tie goes on first-time who made a promising debut over fences at Doncaster earlier in the year but failed to live up to that standard last time after a six month break. Mistakes late on cost him last time, may strip fitter, worth another try.

In fair form over the winter at around 3m winning consecutive starts over hurdles and fences at Musselburgh. Continued to mix the two disciplines but without as much success, returns from a break, has won when fresh before.

Dual winning chaser for Keith Dalgleish in early 2019 at up to 2m4f but has been rather in-and-out in terms of form since those victories. Needs to bounce back now after a break for a new yard, resides just below his last winning mark.

Makes his comeback from a monster absence having been a dual winning chaser in handicaps for Olly Murphy in the summer of 2017. Hood (worn for both his wins is back on), returns off last wining mark for a new yard, needs to hit the ground running.

Found things clicking into place when returning from a year off plus a second wind op to win at Uttoxeter (2m4f) in a refitted tongue-tie (jumped better than before). Nudged up 4lb for that win, but fairly unexposed, type to go on improving.

Forecasts

Lough Har (6/5), Arthur's Sixpence (6/4), Chanceanotherfive (13/2), Sporting Press (12/1), Skilled (40/1)

Verdict

The second wind operation for ARTHUR'S SIXPENCE looks to have done the trick after his game win at Uttoxeter where despite the narrow margin of victory he appeared to win with a bit in hand. His jumping was much better this time around and a 4lb rise was more than fair to keep him at the right end of the handicap. Main danger Lough Har will have to jump better this time around but should have an event like this in him having shaped well on his chase debut earlier in the year. Chanceanotherfive might not have the scope of those two main players but he has won when fresh before and more chasing experience than the main duo that may stand him in good stead.
  1. Arthur's Sixpence
  2. Lough Har
  3. Chanceanotherfive
