10/3
Dual C&D winner, latest win making it four wins from last seven handicap start, looked as good as ever with cheekpieces back on. 4lb higher he now runs off a career-high mark but can't be ignored, last two wins have come with George Wood in saddle.

Generally runs with credit in sprints, however a record of one win from his last 26 starts tells a story of him being hard to win with. Fair fourth at Sandown last time (5.1f, good/firm), 10lb below highest winning mark, likely to find one too good.

In terrific form last year winning five out of last six races (including a four-timer), claimer ridden on each occasion. Hasn't quite hit the mark this season in three 5f/6f starts, started favourite on AW last time, may appreciate a return to turf.

Newcastle 5f AW winner early in 2019, lightly-raced since, shaped as though he had retained his ability when making some late headway (tenderly handled) at Sandown (5.1f, good/firm). Nicely handicapped if he can build on that start down in grade.

Three-time winner on turf/AW last year at up to 6f; run respectably this year without threatening to win. Sometimes slow away, cheekpieces tried again having slipped back below his last winning mark, took a while to get going last year.

Benefitted from a reduced mark when ending a losing run of 22 over 5f on the Rowley Mile in June (helped by yard really firing), suited by was race developed. Not in the same form last time (behind two of today's rivals), could bounce back.

Yet to find his form for this yard who are themselves are struggling since racing resumed. Mark is reducing quickly without any signs of him taking advantage, last of nine last time finishing well beaten by three of today's rivals, others preferred.

Age: 5|  Weight: 8-13| J: James Doyle| T: S C Williams| OR:  73
9/2
One of two from this yard (in a lull currently) who often makes life difficult for himself (can be slow away, looks awkward). Continued his long losing sequence last time over 6f (Rowley Mile), carried head high (beat one home), not one to trust.

Forecasts

Han Solo Berger (10/3), Commander Han (9/2), Blue De Vega (5/1), Ginger Jam (5/1), Line Of Reason (11/2), Thegreatestshowman (15/2), Outrage (12/1), Colonel Frank (16/1), Breathless Times (40/1)

Verdict

Some of these have something to prove given how they have performed of late despite slipping to marks that ought to be beneficial. Blue De Vega would lead that posse but his win-to-run ratio is poor and others look a more solid win option. It wouldn’t surprise to see Line Of Reason bounce back from an ordinary effort last time with his stable in cracking form with their sprinting group. Thegreatestshowman is coming into the time of the year that has seen him successful before but its hard to ignore the claims of HAN SOLO BERGER, a dual C&D winner who looks an improved model this year despite having to overcome a career-high mark.
