Thrice-placed in maiden hurdles over 2m-2m2½f earlier in the year but faded tamely at Limerick (2m6f, good; 1-1f) last month on return. Perhaps she didn't stay, sets standard on previous effort for powerful connections.

Lightly-raced in the last 12 months, the daughter of Vocalised, with one win from nine starts to her name, ran better race on the Flat here on Monday evening over 1m5f but remains opposable.

Winner of a bumper in July at Wexford at second time of asking for previous yard 12 months ago. Not disgraced when last seen in September on hurdling debut over similar trip here but plenty of questions to be answered on return.
Useful Flat winner missed 624 days prior to hurdling debut last month at Roscommon (well held); much-improved next start in Bellewstown maiden (2m½f, good; 25-1) when third and claims of similar if further progress is forthcoming.

Caught the eye with runner-up effort on seasonal bow at Kilbeggan (2m4f, good; 8-1) late last month in first-time cheekpieces and perhaps drops in distance no help when only fourth since at Bellewstown. Blinkers reached for this time and up in trip.
Beaten out of sight in both starts; a Cork bumper (2m, soft; 50-1) in January and Clonmel maiden hurdle (2m2½f, heavy; 100-1) two months later. Better ground to race on now but remains best watched.

All but tailed off in three starts so far; including hurdles bow a week ago at Downpatrick (2m2f, good; 200-1). Hard to see the positives currently.

Daughter of Mahler out of a Definite Article. Failed to complete in a couple of point-to-point starts between November and February and showed very little on recent hurdle debut at Bellewstown.

Oscar mare; shown very little in maiden hurdles at Gowran Park and Roscommon either side of lockdown break; of some note that Danny Mullins takes over in the plate now.
Point-to-point winner in mares event at Portrush last year; failed to show much in maiden hurdles at Navan (2m, soft to heavy; 66-1) and Down Royal (2m½f, soft; 100-1) back in the spring. Plenty more needed to get competitive.

Exposed in bumpers, being 0-9 (placed four times) in that sphere; well held in two hurdles starts at Fairyhouse (2m/2m4f, yielding) in January but too soon to write off and better ground likely is a positive. Race-fit and capable of better stuff.

Appeared to improve markedly in first-time tongue-tie when third at Roscommon (2m, good; 33-1) four weeks ago,; second and fourth won next time out and looks a big player now with Rachel Blackmore taking over.

Reserve; took a point-to-point win at second attempt in November but well held tenth of 17 on rules bow in Navan maiden hurdle (2m, heavy; 50-1) in March and needs a big leap forward.

Forecasts

Two Shoe Tom (7/4), Champagne Diva (3/1), Flying Risk (9/2), Vocal Queen (6/1), What Wonders Weave (7/1), Lucky Buck (16/1), Love The Melody (18/1), Not May (25/1), Sienna Rose (33/1), Timber Tang Girl (40/1), Samantha Sunshine (50/1), Guiding (50/1), Ursus Belle (66/1), Haunting Vocals (125/1), Sadies Trix (125/1), Sense Of Rock (150/1), Halcyon Dreams (250/1)

Verdict

VOCAL QUEEN ran an improved race in a similar contest over shorter last month. She was likely playing for places when hampered late on, but has scope to do better; while the second and fourth from that race were next-time-out winners. With Rachel Blackmore booked now, she may get on the board. Flying Risk boasts the best form and is considered back down in trip after failing to get home at Limerick; while What Wonders Weave and Two Shoe Tom are potential improvers.
  1. Vocal Queen
  2. Flying Risk
  3. Two Shoe Tom
