Dual winner over slightly shorter over hurdles when with Dan Skelton and showed improvement when fourth at the minimum trip on second run over the larger obstacles for current yard. This is a tad weaker and should appreciate the longer trip.
Losing run building up but entitled to come om for comeback run at Uttoxeter recently and this represents the lowest grade he has contested for a while so no surprise should he put up a bold showing.
Lightly raced and showed ability over hurdles when with Martin Smith. Almost certainly found ground too heavy when flopping on chase debut and can't be dismissed now starting off for new yard. on better ground.
Off the mark under rules at Market Rasen in the spring though may have found 3m just stretching his stamina in return visit there recently. This trip should be just about ideal and could bounce back.
Veteran who has sound record at this track but was below best when last seen 18 months ago and possible best watched on this return.
Hit and miss and not seen since puling up a year ago but has been ready to run for a while (withdrawn last week). Wind operation since last seen and market should prove useful.
Front-runner who found ground too testing when last seen in December but win and other placed efforts in 2019 read quite well here and at his best would play a part.
Yet to win a race since coming from Ireland and best at slightly shorter than this so not hard to look elsewhere.
His win over 2m1f here last October seemed to come from out of the blue but he did land a few nice bets in the process. Not in the same form since and hasn't convinced in previous attempts at this longer trip.
51 race maiden over fences and highly unlikely he'll be breaking that sequence from 43lb out of the handicap here.
Forecasts
Bbold (11/4), Battle Of Ideas (3/1), Mister Tickle (9/2), Mistercobar (6/1), Royal Magic (7/1), Dream Bolt (10/1), Calin Du Brizais (16/1), Canny Tom (25/1), St Merryn (80/1), Sussex Road (200/1)
MISTER TICKLE is low mileage and should have more to offer on this sound surface with the tongue-tie fitted for the first time. Royal Magic has been the subject of support in the past and is worth keeping an eye on with Battle Of Ideas completing the short list.
- Mister Tickle
- Royal Magic
- Battle Of Ideas
