Improving colt who won a Newcastle novice event (6f, AW) last November, and has bettered that in two recent handicaps, despite not winning. Went close at Newmarket (7f, good) latest. Cheekpieces go on and he is up 4lb, but looks a big player.
Couldn't quite break his duck as a juvenile, but did so on his reappearance at Kempton (1m, AW) last month, when winning cosily. Didn't quite get the breaks when a closing ½L third on his handicap debut at Newmarket (7f) latest. Up 1lb. Contender.
Stepped up significantly on his Newmarket debut just over a year ago when scoring at Chelmsford (1m, AW) next time. Improved again under a penalty on last month's return. Enters handicaps on a stiff enough mark, but could be more to come.
Has finished second on five of his nine starts, including at Haydock (7f, soft) last time, from the same mark as here. Has previously been tried in cheekpieces, and now a visor goes on. Should be very competitive, but needs to eek out a bit more.
Showed some ability in novice events and got off the mark in the last of those at Wolverhampton (7f, AW) last December. Returns on a 4lb higher mark for this handicap debut, so will need to step up on his previous form if he is to defy that.
Scored on her third juvenile start in a fillies' novice event at Windsor (6f, good), and went close next time on her nursery debut at Goodwood. Well below that form in three more runs, but on a handy mark if she can bounce back.

Forecasts
Raatea (13/8), King Ragnar (9/4), Kinsman (5/2), Sermon (9/2), Stepney Causeway (7/1), Millionaire Waltz (16/1), Angel Grey (25/1)
A tough race to call, with Kinsman a potential improver on his handicap debut, Millionaire Waltz and Stepney Causeway other such runners, while Sermon will surely pick up one of these soon. Raatea is also feared, but the suggestion is KING RAGNAR, who went close last time but may just be able to find the necessary with cheekpieces tried this time.
- King Ragnar
- Kinsman
- Raatea
