Below-par 63-rated handicapper on the Flat for trainer Pat Phelan. Well held in a couple of bumper starts previously and looks up against it on stable debut, his first start since August.
Six-race maiden who has had three trainers. Dismal effort on stable and hurdling debut at Limerick last month and similar story recently at Bellewstown.

Career best effort in the point-to-point ranks when third of 12 in January before a couple of mixed messages in a number of starts since February. May need a few to falter.

Improvement in a couple of bumpers in the autumn were quickly forgotten as the gelding struggled on hurdling debut at Navan when last seen in September.

Well down the field on sole career start on the Flat at Tipperary last month. Appears to have a mountain to climb in first-time hood.
Half-brother to useful sort Bally Longford, finished in his own time on debut in a Navan bumper in September before a similar story on hurdling debut at Galway when last seen in October. Faces a tough ask in this company.
Well held on debut in a Thurles bumper in February before finishing well down the field on hurdling debut at Bellewstown earlier this month. A work in progress.

Struggling 11-race maiden on the Flat for trainer Johnny Levins, a 44-rated handicapper. Not seen since December and possibly best watched on hurdling and stable debut.

Has let followers down in both bumper starts so far at Limerick last month and in a Bellewstown contest earlier this month, sent off as the favourite on both occasions. Likely to go well for yard that landed a four-timer on Wednesday.
Gelding by Mahler out of a Indian River mare. Closely related to a number of winners including New To This Town, successful over hurdles at 2m.

Running well in defeat in a couple of starts since returning to action on the Flat last month. Looks an interesting hurdling recruit and worth a check in the market.
Gelding by Power out of a Theatrical mare. Closely related to Vinnie's Wish, winner over 5f/6f. Market likely the best guide on hurdling debut.
Running well in defeat in a number of starts before the break and on return to action at Bellewstown earlier this month finishing second of the 14 runners. Another bold bid on the cards.

Verdict

The Gordon Elliott yard are in flying form right now can get off to winning start in the opener. The Rip Van Winkle gelding JAWBOX can win on hurdling debut following a couple of near-misses in bumper company in the last couple of weeks. Top Line Tommy, ran well in defeat on return to action at Bellewstown earlier this month finishing second of the 14 runners and can emerge as the biggest danger. The Gavin Cromwell pair, Ruinous and Long March should not be easiliy written off, while the Henry De Bromhead-trained Wishful Thinking is better than his last start suggests. Broomfields Jeremy is worth a check in the market if making the line-up.
