Sprang a 16-1 surprise on debut over Newbury's straight mile (heavy) last October, and back to form when fourth of 7 to Midnights Legacy on handicap debut over 1½m here last time. Can build on that, although he will have to.
In the frame in two starts AW maidens last year, but much improved for switch to handicaps on return/turf debut when ½L third of 10 to Duke of Condicote here. Up 5lb for that, but unexposed, and will improve again.
Bred to stay well, and improved on her juvenile form when winning a 1½m event on handicap debut at Newmarket last time by 3¾L from Single. Will keep improving as stamina is drawn out, and has leading claims here.
Disappointing on handicap bow but back on an upward curve when second of 10 to Dancing Approach over 1m3½f here on his latest start. Stamina taken on trust for this trip, but not easily dismissed.
Beaten narrowly on handicap debut at Doncaster with blinkers fitted, and built on that when beating Time Voyage at Redcar last time. Needed every yard of 1¼m there, and worth a try at this trip.
Has improved from a low base this season, winning all three starts in handicaps at up to this trip, and going up 21lb in the handicap. Not finished his progress yet, and entitled to plenty of respect here.
Improved a little on last year's qualifying efforts when 4¼L fourth of 10 to Dancing Approach on handicap debut. Slightly better off at weights with Finely Tuned for a 1L beating, and little to choose between the pair now.
Forecasts
Revolver (9/5), Finely Tuned (7/2), Dancing Harry (13/2), Red Missile (13/2), Harmonious (9/1), Lyrical (11/1), Night Bear (12/1)
Revolver has won all three starts this term, and hasn't stopped improving, so must be high on the shortlist, although a line through Single, who he beat last time, suggests that he may struggle to cope with the unexposed LYRICAL, who has yet to try this trip, but is bred to relish it. Night Bear is taking a big step up in trip, but shaped like a stayer when winning last time, and is another for the shortlist.
