Sprung a 40/1 shock when returning from wind surgery to score in a 2m4f novice hurdle on good ground here last week. Tongue tie worn for the first time that day is retained stepping up in trip under a penalty.
Slipped up in a bumper on debut at Warwick (2m, good) last year and finished well beaten in a similar contest on soft going at Southwell later that month. Others make more appeal on hurdling debut.
Point-to-point winner on yielding-to-soft ground in February last year and placed twice in that sphere subsequently. Pulled up at Southwell (3m, soft) on Rules debut in November and is making his first start since wind surgery.
Winner of a 2m4f point-to-point on good ground at Great Trethew in February last year and was hampered when falling on Rules debut over 2m here in October. Strong claims for a top yard on his return to action.
15 race maiden pulled up in a 2m4f handicap hurdle on heavy ground here in December when last seen on the track. Looks likely to struggle in this contest.
11 race maiden finished 44L sixth off a mark of 113 in first time blinkers when contesting a 3m handicap chase at Kempton (good-to-soft) in March. Interesting runner on his first start over hurdles since May last year.

Balagan (13/8), Famous Response (9/4), Nativegetaway (16/5), Aughnacurra King (10/1), Arcadian Spring (14/1), Tikanite (25/1), Franz Klammer (300/1)
FAMOUS RESPONSE showed plenty of ability when winning his point-to-point and he can put a fall on Rules debut behind him to take this novices' hurdle event. The selection can get the better of his six rivals here with recent course winner Balagan capable of taking second spot stepping up in distance. Third can go to Nativegetaway who is returning to hurdles having shown decent form over fences last season.
