55,000 gns yearling; out of a half-sister to Temple Road, who is a ten-time winner over 5f/6f; yard going well and always respected at this course. One to take seriously on racecourse debut. (Also entered at York later in the week.)
£8,000 yearling whose dam won over 6f on the AW; winners in the pedigree and yard can get one ready first-time out. Another to bear in mind.
Showed promise on debut at Pontefract (5f, good) last month but never traveled with fluency at Ripon shortly after; her dam won over this trip, so may do better in time. Handicaps beckon after this.
Out of a half-sister to a 6f nursery handicap winner, she showed very little get excited about on debut at Musselburgh at the start of this month and already has a lot of improvement to find.
Represents an in-form stable that has enjoyed a fruitful period with its sprinters over the last couple of seasons and this filly is a relative of a handful of those winners. Well worth a betting check on debut.
A half-sister to a couple of winning sprinters and is out of a half-sister to a 6f winner; notable the dam is out of a half-sister to Helvellyn, who was a high-class sprinter that won 6f Coventry Stakes for this yard in 2006; worth a betting check.
£34,000 yearling out of a 5f/6f winner. Already has course experience from her debut last month (6f, good to soft). She faded inside the final furlong that day so feasible the drop to the 5f will suit. Highly respected yard; dangerous to omit.
Stablemate of Havanagomecca; she was slowly into her stride on debut at Doncaster in late June but is bred to appreciate the trip and will be wiser this time. Interesting to note where the betting market places her against her travel companion.

Ben Macdui (3/1), Salsoul (3/1), Scarboroughdebut (4/1), Havagomecca (6/1), Prudhoe (6/1), Ghayahib (10/1), Out The Hat (16/1), All About Charley (16/1), Go Go Luna (80/1)
BEN MACDUI has winners in the pedigree (over this trip and further) and was easily the most expensive purchase out of this lot; the yard has a made a good start to the campaign and, given his rider's current 20% strike-rate from the last fortnight, there are good grounds for giving the son of Kodiac support on his racecourse bow. Salsoul has course experience and created the impression that the drop to 5f won't be an issue for her now she's got the benefit of a run behind her. She, along with Havagomecca and Prudhoe appeal as bright prospects for the future at least. Any support in the betting for Out The Hat would also be noteworthy.
- Ben Macdui
- Salsoul
- Havagomecca
