Not disgraced, running well in defeat in a number of starts within the last 12 months, though distance beaten is a concern. Second highest rated in the contest and one to keep safe.
Ran his best race for sometime when running Tandem to 2¾L finishing second of 14 runners on the Flat at Leopardstown on Saturday at odds of 100/1. Worth a market check on hurdle debut.
Failed to back up a decent effort at Down Royal when pulling up at Clonmel when last seen in January. Has not looked a winner in waiting just yet.
Winner at this venue with a victory over a similar trip also to his name. Running with credit in defeat in a number of starts over hurdles including on comeback run at Roscommon last month.
Winner of one of eight starts on the Flat, the gelding will need to improve on a couple of dismal efforts over hurdles in November/December last year.
Something clearly amiss when a well beaten favourite at Limerick last month. Trainer appears to have found an ideal opening for the consistent Camelot gelding to get off the mark in this company.
Struggling son of Casamento well beaten when finishing down the field in a number of starts on the AW at Dundalk in November/December last year. Unlikely to be troubling the judge on hurdling introduction.
Shaped well on hurdling debut in a 2m½f maiden at Bellewstown earlier this month. Likely to go well quickly turned out.
Improved on second start over hurdles at Clonmel when last seen in September but overall form unlikely to be good enough to play a role in this contest.
49-rated handicapper on the Flat, the gelding showed hints of ability on hurdling debut at Bellewstown earlier this month when a never nearer sixth of the 14 runners. Will need to improve to figure.
Well beaten on all his racecourse appearances including when pulling up at odds of 20/1 in a Limerick maiden hurdle over 2m3f when last seen in November. Others make more appeal.
Below-par handicapper on the level the Born To Sea gelding could improve on a pleasing hurdling debut at Bellewstown earlier this month finishing fourth of 14 behind Very Excellent.

Ya Boy Ya (5/4), Pasley (11/4), Jack Hackett (4/1), Felino De Bersy (7/1), Broken Ice (11/1), Lopito (12/1), Persian Lion (14/1), Ilikehim (16/1), Walkers Point (50/1), Natch (50/1), Tommy Kiln (150/1), Ellaat (150/1), Usain Boat (250/1), Mister Saxman (250/1)
Trainer Joseph O'Brien looks to have found an ideal opportunity for the J P McManus-owned PASLEY to get off the mark for connections at the sixth time of asking. The four-year-old has shown a good attitude in a number of starts since his debut at Punchestown in November and can continue his progression in the hands of jockey Mark Walsh. The Colin Bowe-trained Ya Boy Ya ran well in defeat on return to action at Roscommon last month and can emerge as the biggest danger if recapturing the form of his starts at Kilbeggan and at this track in September. Jack Hackett, rated 110 and the Cheveley Park Stud-owned Felino De Bersy can compete for minor honours.
- Pasley
- Ya Boy Ya
