Yet to win beyond 1m2f though probably does stay this far. Fair third at Beverley last time and this is the first time he has raced in a 0-55 so has a class edge over the majority of his rivals.
First bit of form for quite a while when fourth over 1m at Newcastle in March. Didn't build on that on first run back since lockdown at Chelmsford and not certain to appreciate this further step up in trip.
Bit better last two runs and lightly raced in this sphere so there could be more to come but there probably needs to be.
The combination of a tongue-tie and cheekpieces together worked the oracle on first run for this yard when landing a gamble at Musselburgh a fortnight ago. 2lb rise is fair as the third home won at Ayr on Monday.
Little in trio of maidens though did show more on handicap debut when 10L third of nine at this trip at Chepstow. This is a much weaker race and now taking on exposed types for in-form stable with visor replacing cheekpieces.
Sole turf win was gained in 2015 and not the easiest to predict in this sphere these days so not hard to look elsewhere.
Has been tried at a variety of distances with no great improvement though at least the drop in weights now gets him into this basement grade and he tries cheekpieces for the first time.
No sign of ability at much shorter and needs this marked jump up in trip to make a big difference.
No ability to date including when sent into handicaps and hard to be positive about with cheekpieces on fir the first time.
Five career wins including one here but has been badly out of sorts since 2018 and has always needed first run back after a break in the past as well.
No sign of ability at huge prices and with an official rating of just 25 is 20lb out of the weights here.
Formerly with Richard Hannon. Has shown little in two runs over 1m2f for this yard and hasn't looked as though this longer trip is what he wants. Tongue-tie and cheekpieces now go on for the first time.
Has shown nothing in pair of AW maidens over 1m2f during the winter but bred to be quite useful and with just two runs behind him there could be better to come so not totally discounted on handicap bow.
Forecasts
Caribeno (11/4), Barney Bullet (5/1), Black Star Dancing (6/1), Escape Clause (13/2), Oliver's Betty (13/2), Quoteline Direct (15/2), Cassidy Jo (9/1), Dorset Blue (20/1), Splash Of Verve (25/1), Midnight Warrior (66/1), Golden Grenade (66/1), Allsfineandandy (125/1), Gloryella (200/1)
Plenty who are hard to fancy but CARIBENO from a yard going really well, surely has more to offer and unlike his last run, plenty of his rivals looks exposed. Barney Bullet landed a few nice bets last time and if in the same form should be a big danger while a move for Cassidy Jo would make her of some interest.
