Yet to win in seven attempts but has been runner-up three times including at Musselburgh four days ago when she outran her 40/1 odds. Has a little to find on figures but not out of this if things drop her way.
$50,000 US bred daughter of Orb who is half-sister to British 1m Group 3 winner Archbishop. Interesting on pedigree and yard has 12% strike-rate here with this age group. Market should indicate if she's being showing much at home.
£40,000 Havana Gold filly out of 5f-6f winner. Pacey pedigree and ran well last time on second outing when runner-up in Redcar 6f novice stakes 17 days ago. Will have come on for that and drop back to minmium trip looks the right move.
Cable Bay flly who did well on debut in May 2019 when fast-finishing second in Bath 5f noivice auction. Has had three trainers since but not raced for any of them so clearly has had issues and makes debut for new yard with questions to answer.
Placed 3-6 and found only one too good for her at Beverley on her reappearance four weeks ago in 5f h'cap. Raised 2lb and comes out top on figures, and runs here for the first time in a hood. Should be thereabouts once again.
Forecasts
Stars In The Night (7/4), Cuban Affair (9/4), Sound Of Iona (4/1), Rockingham Jill (13/2), Autumn Colours (11/1)
CUBAN AFFAIR ran with credit at Redcar recently and wil be suited by the drop back to 5f. She won't have to improve more than a pound or two to break her maiden at just the third time of asking. Stars In The Night has the highest official rating and ran a solid race when second at Beverley last month so rates the main danger, while last week's surprise 40/1 second Sound Of Iona is not out of it if building on the promise of that run. Rockingham Jill showed some ability when second on her only outing but hasn't been since May 2019, while nicely bred newcomer Autumn Colours wouldn't have to be a superstar to get in amongst them.
- Cuban Affair
- Stars In The Night
- Autumn Colours
