Was proving to be a reliable and versatile sort before the break in racing, winning at Downpatrick and Naas in March; has already shown ability over this shorter trip and has a real chance of landing his hat-trick.
Took a long time to break his maiden tag over hurdles but did it in some style when landing valuable race at Galway last year; not so good since then over hurdles but has been in fair form on the Flat so could go well.
Won his last two races over hurdles both over two miles on heavy ground; another who has been in action on the Flat; ground likely to be the biggest challenge to landing a hat-trick.
One from seven over hurdles. Backed up a gallant run in the Grade 3 Fred Winter at the Cheltenham festival in March when second of six beaten 1¼L at Tipperary earlier this month. One to have on your side, fairly quickly turned out.
Beaten favourite on his last three starts including in two maiden hurdles; hard to see him being good enough against proven winners but he will no doubt have his supporters again.
Has raced just the three times on the Flat and makes his hurdles debut here; not disgraced on last racecourse appearance in maiden at Limerick; market moves would be interesting but this looks tough.
Four starts in maiden hurdles so far and beaten a total of 148L in the races she has finished; brought down last time at Wexford; unlikely winner.
Winner of a Cork 2m bumper in May 2017 before going missing for over three years. Not disgraced on return to action in two starts this season but more needed in this company.
Forecasts
The Very Man (13/8), Recent Revelations (13/8), Cafe Con Leche (9/2), De Mazzaro (9/1), Shamiyan (16/1), City Limits (20/1), Treasure Mountain (66/1), The Lady Of Brega (200/1)
There are two geldings seeking hat-tricks in this contest and the shout goes to Gordon Elliott's THE VERY MAN who has shown a remarkable level of consistency in recent starts and was rewarded with wins at Naas and Downpatrick. This is a bit more difficult dropping down in trip and giving weight away but he still looks the most obvious selection. Cafe Con Leche is looking for his third win in a row as well and his chances probably revolve around the underfoot conditions as both his recent wins came on heavy ground. Recent Revelations has been in good form of late and it is encouraging he is turned out fairly quickly after his last appearance.
