Nottingham winner last October and excellent second over 1m2f at Windsor last time another fine effort. Only 1lb higher today so rates a leading player again.
Chelmsford winner last August not really hit the heights since and looks best watched here on balance.
40/1 C&D winner latest only up 2lb for that nose success so not ruled out although he isn't one to implicitly trust.
Newmarket winner in November 2018 off 19 months when well beaten at Kempton latest. Of course he's open to improvement here but others preferred.
Brighton winner last season was second in two of three subsequent starts. Layoff to overcome here; market can guide.
Won Sandown 1m2f h'cap last autumn but ran poorly last two starts of campaign and again looked unhappy when last of 12 at Newmarket latest. Has plenty to prove on that evidence.
Well supported and duly obliged over C&D in February but finished midfield in last two races post lockdown. More needed and others preferred.
Won at Haydock (1½m) in May and over 1¾m at Haydock in July last season but disappointed last twice. Could bounce back now after the layoff so one to note in the market.
Poor bumper performer but placed in three starts under Flat rules in maiden company since then and on handicap debut he isn't by any means ruled out.
C&D winner last season back from a lengthy layoff when a ½L third to Unit of Assessment latest. Expected to turn the tables now and one for the shortlist here.
Third here and fourth at Thirsk so far this season both behind decent winners. Again vulnerable to younger legs but has place prospects.
Chelmsford 1m h'cap winner in March but ran two poor races since with last at Windsor latest a particularly alarming effort.
Handicap debutant placed on debut but didn't really improve on that so others make greater appeal today.
Off for 20 months before fifth beaten just 1L over 1m4f here latest and held every chance until the last 100 yards. Surely can come forward and appeals as potentially well in here.
Forecasts
Moment Of Hope (4/1), Red Centre (5/1), Latin Knight (11/2), Unit of Assessment (8/1), Ilhabela Fact (8/1), Caen Na Coille (10/1), Rake's Progress (10/1), Noble Gift (12/1), Make Haste Slowly (16/1), Hawridge Flyer (20/1), Follow Intello (22/1), Black Kalanisi (25/1), Zzoro (25/1), Secret Art (80/1)
John Gosden's record here speaks for itself and his Godolphin owned representative RED CENTRE makes huge appeal after his latest promising effort after such a long absence. The fact he remains entire and is still with these connections suggest he must be held in some regard. Rake's Progress who ran well at Windsor latest and Moment Of Hope who ran a stormer on return are also of interest.
- Red Centre
- Rake's Progress
- Moment Of Hope
