Verdict

LA NOVIA hinted at a return to the winners enclosure last month finishing 3L behind Rain Or Shine to land third spot in the 10-runners affair. The five-year-old can add to his two victories over C&D at the expense of another C&D winner, Dark Magic, winner of a Naas handicap over 1m off a 4lb lower mark last month. Lady Sonia for trainer Andrew Slattery and top weight Fugacious can claim minor honours. The Ger Lyons-trained Laralei should be given careful consideration on handicap debut.
