Well beaten in three starts on the Flat most recently when 18L eighth over 7f at Newmarket (soft) in November last year. Worth a check in the market on debut over jumps.

Held in all five Flat starts including in first time cheekpieces (replaced with blinkers here) on stable debut over 1m2f at Chelmsford last month and it was a similar story when 33L sixth at Newton Abbot (2m1f, good) on hurdles debut recently.

Depardieu130
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: David Bass| T: F Brennan
16/1
Signs of ability on the Flat including when 3¼L seventh over 1m4f at Lingfield in early March but is rated just 47 in that sphere and others hold more obvious claims on his hurdling debut.

6/5
Placed twice on the Flat and made the perfect start to her hurdling career when winning by 5½L at Newton Abbot (good) recently. Strong claims of maintaining her unbeaten record over obstacles despite carrying a penalty.
Showed ability on the Flat including when 6½L sixth of seven over an extended 1m6f at Doncaster (good-to-firm) at the end of last month. Notable runner on his first start over hurdles.

Well beaten in two Flat starts including when 15L seventh over 1m2f at Beverley (good) last month. Market support would be notable on her hurdling debut.

Beaten 28L when finishing last of 14 in a soft ground 7f novice event on debut at Newmarket last November. Changed stables and had wind surgery since and is fitted with a tongue tie for the first time on debut over jumps.

Age: 3|  Weight: 10-5| J: Alain Cawley| T: Stef Keniry
66/1
Struggled in three starts over sprint distances at two including when 20L last of 13 in a 6f novice race on the AW at Newcastle last December. Probably best watched switched to hurdles.

Forecasts

Hiconic (6/5), Soldier On Parade (5/4), Big Jimbo (17/2), Depardieu (16/1), Debt Of Honour (18/1), Avis Bay (40/1), Jean Mary (66/1), Current (100/1)

Verdict

HICONIC made her first start over obstacles a winning one recently and she can register a second victory over jumps by taking the opening juvenile hurdle. Soldier On Parade showed ability on the Flat in handicap company and he can finish runner-up on his jumping debu while third place can go to Big Jimbo who is a rare runner at this venue for his Sussex-based handler.
  1. Hiconic
  2. Soldier On Parade
  3. Big Jimbo
