Only 1lb higher than last win, which came at Stratford last year. Capable at this level but all best form has come at shorter. Usually needs a run or two to put him right, so not hard to look elsewhere today, having not run since December.
Useful on the Flat and has progressed nicely in three runs over hurdles, successful on third run at Wetherby last December. Not seen since, which is a concern, but won't mind any rain and not many of these are progressing.
Done well since joining Grace Harris, winning back-to-back handicaps last autumn before finding life harder off higher mark. Solid effort on the Flat last week and should be spot on for this. Conditions fine.
Won a maiden hurdle back in 2018 but only seen three times since then, so clearly not easy to train. Hung left last time he raced here but may not have been right that day, and yard going much better now. Interesting.
Has hit the frame in two of his six starts over hurdles to date but easily beaten on handicap debut at Kempton and looks moderate. Change of headgear today and will be fitter for a recent run on the Flat, but others more persuasive.
Won a mares handicap hurdle from 2lb lower last November but was pretty much all out, and she has nothing in hand of the handicapper. Has C&D form and yard among the winners but not hard to think others better handicapped.

Forecasts
Northern Bound (6/5), Mabela (11/4), Mantovani (15/2), Searching (8/1), Hasankey (17/2), Lord Springfield (14/1), Chieftain's Choice (16/1), Lord Condi (20/1)
HASANKEY has been absent since his Wetherby win last December but Laura Morgan knows the time of day with her horses, so assuming he's fit, he looks the progressive one, and he won't mind the ground either. Northern Bound is another that hasn't seen much track action in recent times but the yard appear to be over their travails of last year and if so, he could be about to bounce back to form. Lord Springfield and Mabela can fight it out for the minor money.
