Useful chaser last year, winning three small-field novices in the summer/autumn, but reverts to hurdles off a lower mark here. Needs the rain to stay away, with best form coming on good ground, and may need this after a break.
Just the one win since joining Olly Murphy, that coming at Plumpton in the April of last year, good fourth in the Swinton Hurdle later in the year too. Has had a recent run on the Flat, gets cheekpieces for the first time, and yard in form.
Useful hurdler two seasons ago, runner-up in the race off the same mark but after that, wasn't seen out until reappearing at Royal Ascot last month, readily held. Wouldn't want a lot of rain but chance is there to see if he's back to form.
Useful dual purpose horse and came back from an absence to run a good race at Southwell earlier in the month, finishing a running-on third in a race that should work out well. Handles most ground and looks a big player here.
Most progressive last year, winning three of his five starts but was below par at Cheltenham on the last of them. Won't want any more rain (withdrawn on account of ground on one occasion) but yard in form and he may have more to come.
Winner of this in 2016 and second in 2017, so loves the track, and still capable of good form, almost winning a handicap on the Flat at Redcar last month, beaten a nose. Handles some cut, on a fair mark and looks a lively outsider.
Good second to classy handicapper Gumball in the listed Sodexho Hurdle at Ascot the highlight last year, but went off the boil a bit after that. Satisfactory run on the Flat last month, wouldn't want the ground too soft but holds a solid chance.
C&D winner from a 2lb lower mark last year, that coming off the back of an easy win at Perth, and he clearly has plenty of ability. Has been off since running below par at Newcastle in March and wouldn't want much more rain.
Looked a useful prospect when scoring at Perth in June 2019 and then finished fifth in this off the back of that run, 1lb lower today; warmed up for this with a solid effort on the Flat last month, gets tongue-tie and headgear for first time.
Only knows one way, blast off in front and try and stay there, tactics that worked a few times at Plumpton as a novice; has found life harder since then but this tight track will suit, and he ran okay on the Flat last month.

A good pace is guaranteed whenever Brandon Castle lines up and the others need to be wary of not giving him too much rope around this tight track, or he could be gone beyond recall. Some cut in the ground would be against many of these and plenty will be hoping the rain has now stopped, but RED TORNADO won't mind it, as he showed when second at Redcar on the Flat recently, and he comes here in very good heart. He performs well at this venue and looks a value option. Of the Olly Murphy pair, Valentino Dancer makes most appeal in a new headgear combination and the consistent Dino Velvet looks sure to give a good account.
