Wolverhampton (6.1f, standard/slow) debut winner (knew what was required) when relatively unfancied in the market (14-1). Wasn't up to the test in the Coventry at Royal Ascot next time (well behind Qaader/Lauded), faces another tough test.
One of only two in this to have raced just once he became one of the few early season winners for the yard (well below-par with 2yo's) when winning at Pontefract (5f, good). Slow away, did well to win, faces another stiff examination here, up to 6f.
Both starts over 6f on good or better ground on the Rowley Mile he looked inexperienced on his debut but was considerately handled. Kindness was repaid in full when winning last time out (looked much shaper), open to further progress, will be needed.
Looked a smart prospect when winning in smooth fashion on debut at Newbury (6f, good), forged clear (won 4L). Confirmed earlier promise with a good second in the Coventry at Royal Ascot despite going down to 150-1 shot, leading prospect here.
Dropped down 1f in trip from his Newcastle/AW debut (shaped with promise) to score over 5f on turf at Doncaster. Still looked inexperienced whilst winning last time (didn't need to improve from debut); will have improve again to make an impact.
Well-bred sort who scored on his debut at Tipperary (5f, good/soft) despite being easy to back looked an above-average recruit, making all in ready fashion. Deserves a crack at this level early in his career especially as the yard won this last year.
Yet to race over this trip, he has already shown some smart form; shaped well on debut (finished third) prior to elevating that form to another level when winning the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot. Had a tactical advantage last time, beat Yazaman.
Overcame inexperience to make a winning Newcastle (5f, slow) debut (visibly learnt through the race). Matched his debut form without improving (sixth in Windsor Castle, behind two rivals here), progress needed but step up to 6f should suit.
Blinkers worn for debut gave some doubts, still surged clear to beat three rivals at Yarmouth (5.2f, good). Improved again, second to Tactical in Windsor Castle (showed some quirks), shapes as though 6f will suit, could have his share of temperament.

Qaader (15/8), Tactical (5/2), Swiss Ace (9/2), Yazaman (6/1), Lauded (10/1), Victory Heights (20/1), Jimmy Sparks (28/1), Rebel At Dawn (28/1), Escape Route (33/1), Choritzo (80/1)
Ten 2yo’s all of whom have won (seven of them on debuts) and a good test of the form of the Coventry and Windsor Castle form from Royal Ascot. Tactical (yet to run over 6f) may well have had a positional advantage in the Windsor Castle when beating Yazaman (looks quirky, yet to try 6f) and Victory Heights (steps up 6f for first time). Andrew Balding’s charge should confirm that form but faces a harder task trying to contain Coventry runner-up Qaader who sets the standard in form terms with both efforts looking smart. The bare form shown by SWISS ACE wouldn’t match that shown by several others but his pedigree and the manner of his Tipperary win would suggest he can take this Group 2 prize.
