89-rated handicapper on the Flat for James Tate made a most pleasing start over hurdles when landing a Naas maiden over a similar trip in January. Beaten since but entitled to have designs on prize money in this contest.

Off the mark for connections at the third time of asking landing a Tipperary maiden hurdle over a similar trip on his second start since racing returned last month. More to come.

68-rated handicapper on the Flat. Failed to make the grade for trainer Simon Crisford. Promising run on latest start over 1m4f at Limerick last month but looks a tall order on hurdling debut.

Still only has a victory in a Down Royal maiden hurdle to her name. Solid effort to finish second of 10 at Naas in January before finishing fifth of 13 runners at Roscommon on the Flat last month. Interesting on hurdling return.

250/1
10-race maiden on the Flat. Tailed off on both starts over timber including a 50L reversal at this venue on Saturday. Appears to have a mountain to climb.
Useful and progressive mare on the Flat last year for Jedd O'Keeffe. Failed to finish in a couple of Grade 2/Grade 3 contests when last seen in February/March. Clearly well thought of and a must for the shortlist.

One win from 12 on the Flat, the daughter of Most Improved is likely to struggle and first time hood unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Beaten 18L on debut in a Limerick fillies bumper last month, finishing eighth of the 12 runners. First-time hood unlikely to do the trick.

Forecasts

Battle Of Wills (15/8), Laura Bullion (2/1), Recent Revelations (11/4), King Pellinor (3/1), Anna Bunina (6/1), Final Orders (33/1), Guiding (100/1), Star Company (150/1), Puddymore (250/1)

Verdict

The Gordon Elliott-trained RECENT REVELATIONS can build on a solid run at Tipperary earlier this month when finishing second behind Barrington Court. The gelding does have to jump more fluently but can hold off the attentions of the John McConnell-trained Anna Bunina who has been highly tried on her last three appearance over hurdles. Laura Bullion for trainer Noel Meade, King Pellinor in the colours of owner J P McManus and Battle Of Wills another in the line-up for trainer Gordon Elliott and the mount of Davy Russell, should not be underestimated.

  2. Battle Of Wills
  3. King Pellinor
