Very modest on Flat failing to reach a place in six starts between 6f-1m6f. Beaten 30 lengths when last of four in 1m6f h'cap in June off just 46. Will need to turn over a new leaf to score.

Nothing to write home about in four modest Flat runs for Michael Bell and joined current yard for 7,500gns last October. Well beaten 12th of 13 in June 1m2f Chelmsford h'cap only start since but improvement in this sphere not out of the question.

Never able to challenge in three starts on the Flat but did hint at a little ability. Not really bred to stay 2m but gives impression he may see it out although market should indicate if he's ready to do himself justice after 244-day break.
Bred for this fame being brother to a winning hurdler out of a dam related to some fair German middle-distance performers. Yard's first runner since the return but they have fair 16% strike rate here over timber.
Ivawood gelding who showed very little on the Flat in four starts at up to 7f and starts out over hurdles having been gelded and undergone a wind operation. Top yard always respected but has a lot to prove.

Three poor runs on the Flat at between 1m-1m4 but yard in good form of late so wouldn't be a surprise to see him run with some credit on this hurdles bow. Worth a market check.

Seven-race Flat maiden but has run creditably a few times at up to 1m. Stamina has to be a concern but not out of this if able to settle early on in the contest.

Forecasts

Hector De Sivola (4/5), Prince Percy (7/4), Hiconic (9/2), Peat Moss (6/1), Debt Of Honour (12/1), Edebez (14/1), Itoldyoutobackit (16/1), American Dreamer (22/1)

Verdict

PRINCE PERCY has done enough Flat to suggest he can win this modest event and is in the right hands. He looks a more certain stayer than most of his rivals and should have been well schooled. The unraced Hector Di Sivola could be the main danger as he has the right pedigree for this game, while Edebez could do better over timber than he did on the level. Debt Of Honour may do best of the rest.
  1. Prince Percy
  2. Hector De Sivola
  3. Edebez
