Royal Context26
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-7| J: P Mulrennan| T: M Dods| OR:  85
Winner at Southwell (6f) last year and made an excellent reappearance here early last month, beaten ¾l in a big field, travelling well. Repeat of that looks sure to put him in the firing line and he ought to improve on it. Big player.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-5| J: C Lee| T: K R Burke| OR:  83| D
Came back to form to score at Redcar on latest start, making all; might have been slightly favoured by racing against rail, but better effort all the same; faces different ground conditions today and 3lb rise makes life harder.

Triple Spear15
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-5| J: S A Gray| T: M Appleby| OR:  83| CD
Steady improvement throughout last year, and has looked as good in two starts this term, C&D winner before being thrown in at the deep end at Ascot (not disgraced). Handles some cut and may still have more to offer.

Heer We Go Againv8
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-1| J: E J Walsh| T: P D Evans| OR:  79| D
Back to form when scoring at Lingfield on latest start but possibly favoured by racing against stands rail, often the place to be; faces totally different conditions today and from a 5lb higher mark, is opposable.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: Megan Nicholls(3)| T: R A Fahey| OR:  78| C
Winner over 6f here on debut last year (soft ground) but in truth, has not progressed from that and finished a well-beaten eighth of nine on reappearance last month; others make more appeal.
Horse silk
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-13| J: Lewis Edmunds| T: J L Eyre| OR:  77| D
Far more exposed than most of these, but ran one of his better races when a ½l third to Wonderwork at Redcar last month; debatable whether these conditions play to his strengths and not that hard to look elsewhere for the winner.

Blazing Hot18
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: P J McDonald| T: J Tate| OR:  74| BF
Second on both starts to date, tried to make all at Thirsk (6f) but caught close home. Has yet to try ground this soft but at least she comes here unexposed and may well have improvement to come, so chances if handling conditions.

Lara Silviap16
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-4| J: A Mullen| T: I Jardine| OR:  68| D
Won a couple of bottom-grade handicaps last autumn but she's not really progressed on that, and was a well-held last of five at Hamilton last time. Cheekpieces now tried in a better race, and she makes only minimal appeal here.

Spirit Of The Sky31
Weight: 8-8|  Age: 3
T: R A Fahey  J: Non Runner

Blazing Hot (5/2), Royal Context (11/4), Wonderwork (4/1), Triple Spear (4/1), Spirit Of The Sky (7/1), Aleneva (16/1), Heer We Go Again (18/1), Birkenhead (25/1), Lara Silvia (25/1)

ROYAL CONTEXT has top weight but deserves it on his second in a big field handicap here on his reappearance, where he travelled well but just didn't quite finish the job off. With that run under his belt, he should strip fitter here and if handling the slower ground, can take the beating. Triple Spear looks the danger after running better than his finishing position suggests at Ascot, with Spirit Of The Sky possibly best of the rest.
  1. Royal Context
  2. Triple Spear
  3. Spirit Of The Sky
