Sole effort over hurdles when pulled-up at Cork over 2m on soft in December. Worthy of a check in the market as post time approaches.

Failed to shine in six races on the Flat. Sent off at odds of 100/1 in a couple of initial spins over hurdles before running accordingly on both occasions before registering a career best effort at Naas over 2m when last seen in January.
Sageburg gelding out of a Cloudings mare. One of two in the line-up for yard who saddled five winners from 33 national hunt runners since racing came back last month.

Third of 15 beaten over 11L on first start since March last month. Caution with the yard starting slowly since racing resumed saddling one winner over the jumps from 31 starters.

Slipped up on hurdling debut at Leopardstown in December before a dismal effort at Thurles in January. First time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

Not disgraced in a couple of starts over hurdles so far, encouraging effort on debut at Thurles in January. One of two in the line-up for yard currently boasting a 30% win and place strike rate since racing returned last month.

Three-race maiden improving for every start. Yard have started back in good style with National hunt runners since racing came back with a 30% win and place strike rate, five winners from 33 runners.

Eight-race maiden on the Flat before outrunning his price in a Tipperary maiden hurdle last month over 2m finishing third of 13 runners at odds of 100/1. Needs to take a step forward on that run.
Without a victory in four starts over hurdles including on his most recent start at Punchestown in December finishing fourth of 20 runners. Running well in defeat before the break and one for the shortlist.

Well held when last seen at Leopardstown in December over 2m following a couple of encouraging efforts in October/November. Better than last start suggests.

60-rated maiden on the Flat for trainer Willie McCreery. Not seen since November and market likely to reveal expectations for connections on hurdling introduction.

Second Reserve: Not particularly well bred but is related to some minor hurdle and point-to-point winners. Beaten over 64L on hurdling debut in March and unlikely to be troubling the judge here.

Verdict

One of the few positives for the yard since racing resumed, OAK PARK can win for trainer Gordon Elliott. The four-year-old, who ran in the Grade 1 Spring juvenile hurdle at Leopardstown in February, finished an encouraging third of 15 runners on seasonal return at Limerick last month. Million Percent on debut for the riding-high Henry De Bromhead yard could go well, while Very Excellent for trainer Andrew McNamara ran well in defeat on a couple of starts over hurdles in October/November can emerge as the biggest threat. In a weak looking renewal, Pepper'n Salt for Gavin Cromwell and Soloheadbeg should not be taken lightly.
  1. Oak Park
  2. Million Percent
  3. Very Excellent
