Unraced home-bred Sixties Icon colt and a full-brother to the stables winning juvenile Azor Ahai. Worth a check in the market on first racecourse appearance.

Well beaten on both starts to date including when 10L last of five over this trip at Chelmsford just under a fortnight ago. Others hold more obvious claims.

Slowly away and shaped as if in need of the experience when finishing sixth in a maiden over this trip at Lingfield recently. Likely capable of better on turf debut.

Horse silk
33/1
Struggled in two starts over this trip at Kempton thus far most recently when last of six ten days ago. Likely more needed if he is to break his maiden in this race.

100/1
Failed to beat a rival home when finishing 28L last of 12 in a maiden over this trip on debut at Kempton earlier this month. Probably best watched at present.
Unraced home-bred Dunaden filly out of a mare who was placed over this trip on soft ground. Stable are just 1/22 with their juveniles in the last five seasons.

Decent effort when beaten 9¼L into fifth in a maiden over 6f on good-to-soft ground here when making her debut just over a fortnight ago. One to note with this step up in distance likely to suit.
9

Horse silk
11/5
Unraced Charming Thought filly and a half-sister to a number of winners on the Flat. Dam was placed over this trip from two starts and she is a leading contender on debut for a useful stable.

Improving with racing and ran well to finish 7L third in first time cheekpieces (retained) over 6f on good ground here a week ago. Tongue tie tried on her first attempt at this distance.

Forecasts

Sky Blue Thinking (11/5), Cider Apple (11/4), Henrik (4/1), Astapor (5/1), Woodview (8/1), Weymouth Bay (10/1), Baton (14/1), Reset Button (33/1), Choral Evensong (40/1), Scalene (100/1)

Verdict

CIDER APPLE ran well here when making her debut and she can get off the mark at the second time of asking by registering a victory in this novice event. The selection should appreciate the extra distance here and can get the better of newcomer Sky Blue Thinking who is closely related to a number of winners and represents a useful yard. Weymouth Bay is the most experienced runner in the field and she can claim third on her fourth career start.
  1. Cider Apple
  2. Sky Blue Thinking
  3. Weymouth Bay
