Failed to really get involved when returning to action at Redcar (7f, good/soft) earlier in the month not really building on the impact made on his earlier starts since joining this yard. Not ruled from this mark but does need to bounce back.
Modest handicapper but did take back-to-back 7f events at Yarmouth on quick ground last August the second in a weak 0-70. Both efforts this year have been spoilt by her running too free on the AW, now back in trip on turf, needs to settle better.
Did too much too soon on his handicap debut at Ripon (6f, good) but not before he had shown plenty of ability at this level. Strong in the market on that occasion it was undoubtedly his best race so far, 5f may see him in a better light.
Modest sort but capable on his day although he's far from the most reliable often looking a hard ride. Usually seen at his best around Pontefract (five-time winner there), may just needs this and his demeanour means others appeal more.
Yard in good fettle earlier in the year but appear to be struggling since racing resumed. This one ran creditably on return to action from his lower turf mark over 6f at Ripon, potentially interesting if the yard can find some form.
Now 19 starts since he last won a race not really looking as though that situation would change given the evidence of his two starts since returning from three months off. Well below form last time, pulled hard, fair bit to prove even at this level.
Second run back from wind surgery having shown no immediate signs of progress after that procedure last time at Ripon (6f, good). Lightly-raced overall and with very little to show for his efforts over the past few years, best watched.
C&D winner for Kevin Ryan off a 6lb higher mark (April 2017) she looked to have lost her way for that yard. No sign of being rejuvenated on her debut for this stable (good with this type) at Kempton (6f) cheekpieces now on, market a worthy guide.
Won totally out of the blue at Catterick (6f, heavy) last October when back in headgear but not seen again. Hard to explain that victory, now has to try and repeat that performance after a long break in different conditions.
Not disgraced at Chelmsford after three months off over 6f looking slightly unlucky not to have finished closer having been denied a clear run, Not one to make too many excuses for but has a chance at this level back on turf from a basement mark.

Forecasts
Moretti (7/2), Carlovian (9/2), Swinging Eddie (9/2), Alameery (9/2), Loretta (11/2), Lucky Lodge (8/1), Round The Island (11/1), Aghast (12/1), Jem Scuttle (14/1), Star Citizen (20/1), Bevsboy (66/1)
A weak heat, it’s fair to say that it won’t take much winning and makes limited appeal as an investment medium. Alameery certainly caught the eye over 6f last time out but his tendency to run with the choke out might mean that he struggles to get home over this trip. Moretti is another who has a least won races but her head strong tactics have cost her of late also. Lucky Lodge is on an appealing turf mark and he would be interesting if his yard were in better form while the market may be the best guide to the chance of Aghast. CARLOVIAN is given a tentative nod after he ran with some vague promise on the AW last time, he’s won on bad ground before and resides below his past winning marks.
- Carlovian
- Alameery
- Lucky Lodge
