Horse A-Z
1
Horse silk
10/1
Seventh foal; half-brother to 2m/2m4f hurdle winner Dunroe Lady; certainly bred to do well in bumpers and beyond but whether he is up to winning first time up remains to be seen.
2
Horse silk
125/1
Has only managed to finish one of his four point-to-point starts since debut in November; hard to assess but unlikely winner.
3

Age: 6|  Weight: 12-2| J: R Deegan(5)| T: E McCarthy
125/1
Always in rear, never a factor, pulled up on debut at Tramore in May 2019; not hard to pass over.
First foal; bred to run in this sphere but pedigree is nothing special and probably best watched on debut unless significant market support.
5
Horse silk
33/1
First foal; dam maiden point winner out of point winner; hard to make a case for on breeding and likely to struggle on racecourse bow.
6
Horse silk
16/1
Cost 26,000 euros as a foal; 4th foal; half-brother to hurdle winner Sheila Tanist; will be interesting to see the level of stable confidence via the market on debut.
7
Horse silk
Knot On Timeh225
Age: 5|  Weight: 12-2| J: Mr R Sugrue(7)| T: P Nolan
33/1
Made encouraging start in bumpers when fourth at Thurles in October but the fact he was tailed off when next seen at Punchestown in November slightly tempers enthusiasm.
8
Horse silk
66/1
8th foal; closely related to point winner Way Wild West; failed to complete in either of his point-to-point appearances and hard to recommend on that evidence.
9
Horse silk
2/1
Looks the clear pick on form based on his two placed efforts in bumpers and a decent run in a maiden hurdle; likely market leader and strong contender.
10
Horse silk
15/2
Cheaply bought at the Ascot sales in March 2019; has produced three competent bumper performances without looking like winning; can progress and one to note in this weak line-up.
Fouth foal; dame related to some decent hurdle and chase winners; hard to assess but also hard to think she will be capable on first sight of a racecourse; will need further in time.
First foal; dam was useful on the Flat and over hurdles; will be interesting to see amount of stable confidence behind this newcomer.
Second foal; half-sister to recent 2m hurdle winner Bonarc; certainly bred to do well and is another whose chances may be reflected in the market.

Forecasts

Erica's Joy (1/1), Western Run (2/1), Wings Of Destiny (15/2), Boy Blue (10/1), Gurtnakisteen (16/1), Presenting Bonnie (18/1), Crobally Boy (25/1), Florey Spud (33/1), Knot On Time (33/1), Eilise's A Lady (50/1), May Feiner (66/1), Charlie Shirocco (125/1), Cork Mick (125/1)

Verdict

It is difficult to look beyond WESTERN RUN in this contest. The five-year-old has already produced three solid runs on the racecourse, two in bumpers and one over hurdles. If reproducing that form he should prove difficult to beat. His main danger could come from the unraced Erica's Joy who is respected coming from the powerful Willie Mullins stable and comes from a nice family. Wings Of Destiny began his career in promising fashion but has something to prove at present but is open to improvement nevertheless.
  1. Western Run
  2. Erica's Joy
  3. Wings Of Destiny
