Smart enough sort in the past but on a downward curve since switching to this yard. Didn't trouble the judge when 6L 11th at Thirsk (5f, good) recently and more of the same is likely in this.
Into veteran years now and failed to build on promising return when 5L sixth at Wolverhampton (6f) nine days ago. Drops back to minimum distance in bid to find best form.
Handicap mark is gradually tumbling and usually suited by AW surfaces. Fared better than the result suggested when 4L tenth at Newcastle (5f) this month. Dropped 2lb and with top claimer on board. Not without hope.

A closely-matched handicap to end proceedings in which plenty are with a shout, preference is for COMPTON'S FINALE to belatedly get back to winning ways. His effort at Newcastle last time suggests he was seemingly revived by the change in scenery in Britain and is dangerously poised off the same mark with a 7lb claimer on board. Boudica Bay also returned to form with promise last time and the quick turnaround can be viewed as a positive given her previous record, while the likes of Longroom and bottom weight Gleaming Arch showed their form remains in good spirit but will need to transfer their form from AW to turf and improve a couple of pounds.
