Grade 1-winning novice in 2018; lightly-raced last season with best effort coming at the Cheltenham Festival when placed 2nd in the County Hurdle; lost a shoe close home that day; leading chance for leading stable.
Has been enjoying his chasing in recent outings but has some useful hurdles form in the bag, most notably in valuable handicap at Listowel in December; fair chance if repeating that effort.
Winner of five of his 16 starts over hurdles including a 12L demolition of a six-runner field in a Grade 3 contest over course and distance last October; off track since below par at Fairyhouse in December.
Winner of three of his six starts over hurdles in past year including a ½L victory in Grade 3 contest over course and distance in October; not disgraced when upped in class next time and on handicap debut at Ascot subsequently; respected.
3-7 over hurdles, rallied strongly to overhaul stablemate Cerberus in Leopardstown Grade 1 in February; reasonable effort last time at Cheltenham; one for shortlist.
Had been in very consistent form over hurdles before a below par run on his latest start at Galway in October; warmed up for this with recent run on the Flat; will be sharper than most.
Won valuable handicap hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in 2019; has been chasing since to a decent level; interesting return to hurdles though trip possibly on short side.
Three-time winner over hurdles who ran with credit in defeat in a number of starts between August and December last year; may find things tough at this level.
Has showed ability over hurdles in the past but this is his first race over the smaller obstacles since 2018; has been in reasonable form over fences so no forlorn hope.
Versatile and a fine servant to Henry De Bromhead over the years but it is now nearly three years since his last win and this does not look like an ideal opportunity to get back to winning ways easily.
Won this contest in 2017 and finished runner-up in similar contest over course and distance last time out; probably needs a few of his more fancied rivals to falter to land this.
Was in progressive form over hurdles last winter before never getting into race when last seen at Leopardstown in February; need to bounce back.
Has not won over hurdles since winning Grade 1 event at Aintree in 2017; has been chasing and running in cross country events of late; unlikely winner.
Reserve 1 Fully exposed and unlikely to get into the action if taking her place.

A very interesting contest and a slight preference is for course and distance winner TURNPIKE TRIP who receives a bit of weight from his main rivals and has a great level of consistency to draw upon. He won here last October and if reproducing that effort he should go very well. Willie Mullins has won this race on multiple occasions in the recent past and he has a good chance with Aramon. The seven-year-old may have won on his latest run at Cheltenham had he not lost a shoe. A Wave Of The Sea is another progressive hurdler who rarely lets connections down. He lacks a bit of experience but could go close. If bouncing back Davids Charm is also a danger.
- Turnpike Trip
- Aramon
- Davids Charm
