Boasts a fair AW strike-rate (4-13) yet isn't quite as prolific on turf (did finish third to stablemate Stars Over The Sea in the 2018 Cesarewitch Trial (2m2f, good); in full control when a 5L winner at Lingfield (2m) 118 days ago; 7b higher.

Made an encouraging return to action when finishing runner-up to Mordred at Lingfield (1m4f, AW) earlier this month; seemingly has no issues with turf, despite a career record of 0-6; stamina to definitively prove (untested beyond 1m4f).

Won a Dundalk maiden (1m4f) for Jim Bolger in November 2018; unable to improve upon an encouraging start over hurdles (Newton Abbot); brought his overall record for this trainer to 0-7 on the Fibresand at Southwell (1m6f) in February.

Forecasts

Dubious Affair (5/4), Zuba (9/5), Rory And Me (6/1), Oi The Clubb Oi's (13/2), Monjeni (15/2), Bear Valley (10/1), Dance To Paris (10/1), Nakeeta (14/1), Dawn Trouper (33/1)

Verdict

An interesting finale which should yield a number of future winners, with Rory And Me (handicap debut) and Oi The Clubb Oi's both worthy of tracking and monitoring. However, the solution probably lies elsewhere with Zuba, Dance To Paris and DUBIOUS AFFAIR all possessing the distinct advantage of race-fitness. The selection (a Frankel filly) made a winning start for the in-form Charlie Fellowes at Yarmouth (1m6f, gd/fm) earlier this month, and that form was given a boost when the fourth-placed horse Wadacre Galoubet obliged at Beverley. A subsequent 5lb weights rise is far from prohibitive.
  1. Dubious Affair
  2. Dance To Paris
  3. Monjeni
