Scored three times in 2019 including here over 10.2f (good/soft); remained in good form all year even when set stiffer tests than he faces here. Uneasy in the market, shaped as if better for the run on return on AW (1m3f), more to offer still.

Course winner (10.5f), won on seasonal debut 2019 off a 1lb higher mark at Doncaster (10.2f, good/firm), showed good turn of foot. Failed to win a seller when last seen on Flat, in good form over hurdles (won last start); respected for in-form yard.

Went winless through seven starts in 2019 at various trips up to 1m6f, just a few respectable efforts. Likely to come on from AW debut/reappearance at Newcastle (12.5f, slow), never landed a blow, others a touch more convincing at the moment.

Still a maiden but in good hands (yard in fine Flat form currently), looked to need the run (1m2f) on reappearance recently at Kempton. Up in trip/back on turf having caught the eye on a couple of occasions last year in handicaps, hard to discount.

Three-time winner last year, with all those successes coming at Nottingham (always found plenty for pressure from off pace) over 10.2f. Appreciates a strong pace/give in ground, needed reappearance run (not well placed), this looks tougher though.

Dreamweaver (10/11), Rake's Progress (7/2), Stonific (9/2), Billy No Mates (9/2), Junderstand (5/1), Heart Of Soul (5/1), Night Of Glory (12/1), Deinonychus (16/1), Chief Craftsman (16/1)

Verdict

A competitive end to the ten-race extravaganza, this division looking to contain a little more depth than it’s previous counterpart. Stonific and the mare Junderstand represent two yards that have been in tremendous form of late and both should be respected with the former having won well on the Flat fresh last year. Heart Of Soul has no option but to do his racing away from Chester this year but he shaped well at Newmarket looking as though a return to this trip and a flatter course would be in his favour. Course winner DREAMWEAVER is another who patently needed his AW reappearance the switch to turf up in trip is likely to see him step forward again off a mark that still looks favourable.
